I simply cannot believe that all the people that voted for Trump the first and second time...

...will vote for him a third time.

Of course, his hard core cult followers, with their red hats and huge flags, will vote for him no matter what. Even if he was dead, they would write him in.

But, those people that voted for him because of the "R" behind his name, or because they saw him as a conduit to stay in office, will not vote for him a third time, in my opinion.

They voted for him a second time in 2020, but it was before the attempted coup of January 6th and the crime wave that followed. Many of those folks are going to leave him, in my opinion.

I could be wrong but I think the polls are way off target. I refuse to believe that these folks will dispose of their democracy for a malevolent, narcissistic psycho.

In a few short weeks, we will know the answer.

I thought there might have some people who weren't that interested in politics who supported him because he was not a career politician and a "businessman".

But after 8 years of this BS there should be no doubt who he is and what he stands for. Knowing what he did during his first term, the impeachment hearing, felony charges and convictions, etc. His portrayal as a "businessman" is one of failure after failure so no excuses now.

If he does get re-elected, I think it is a sure sign that America is clearly on the decline and who do we have to blame...only ourselves.

Will the Republic survive, of course but it will not resemble the beacon of hope that we have always represented to the world.

It has made it clear who the people are that support this madness and they represent almost half the US. I think we are a serious point in our history and I hope we can look back on this madness as TEMPORARY INSANITY. ☮

We've had 30 straight years of GOP propaganda. They aren't voting for Trump. They are voting for some mythical figure created by propaganda. What they want is to win and inflict pain on liberals whom they are convinced deserve it because . . . Strawman arguments of nonsense.

Trump voters have little idea how the government works, what the government does for them or how an awful presidency affects them. Which is amazing as they lived through one awful presidency of his already. But the propaganda simply is out there to allow them to pretend it wasn't their shitty voting that is screwing them, but the "Liberals".

It's a choice between an open diverse, multicultural country with an actively engaged government that is also a global citizen.

Or

A closed pseudo-christian monoculture where nationalism trumps (pun intended) any obligation to humanity as a whole.

This is why Trump's gaffes and stupidity doesn't move the needle anymore. Roughly half this country simply doesn't want the future we are offering.

Many chats with Uber drivers over last few weeks, and there were a few that really surprised me.
*Young black fellow talking excitedly about his invitation and plans to attend an upcoming “Reawaken America” event (that’s a far right Christian nationalist group founded by traitor Michael Flynn)
*Messages about how the economy was doing better before Biden took over and how at least they were getting some income in the Trump days from covid relief checks (weren’t those mostly under Biden??)
*Messages of hopelessness or disdain for elections, not trusting or liking politicians, not believing any of them
*Conspiracy factoids like Bill Gates owning “the majority of the farmland in the US” — I looked it up annd shared the annswer, that he owns around 0.3%. They hear all about Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, but nothing about Peter Thiel or Leonard Leo or the Club for Growth….

I can’t recall them all, and it was a pleasure to have so many conversations, especially young women who like me are so excited to see how well Kamala is campaigning and looking forward to seeing her inaugurated.
I enjoyed hearing the immigrant stories — from Ghana, Bangladesh, Colombia, Jamaica — and winced when a few people told me how America was different than they thought and they wouldn’t have come if they’d known it would be “like this.”
But there were some drivers who are consuming messaging targeted to them, and being affected by it, that is depressing to see.
Of course I tried to respond with empathy combined with a fact to check, or something of the kind. But it leaves me wondering, how do you put the genie back in the bottle so that the American people have a more unified sense of basic facts?

The urgency of the GOP undergoing a metamorphosis into a normal political party, OR dismantling and being replaced — and of some method of throttling the impact of malicious foreign actors on the American politic — is clear.

Thank you for sharing. It's scary.

I don't know if anyone is familiar with Christopher Mathias. He is a Reporter for, HuffPost, and author on the subject. He has covered those Re-awakening Tours in depth for years. The hatred and calls for death of many Americans is chilling.

You might want to pass on some of Mathias' in-depth/live video reporting. I can't imagine anyone who isn't already brainwashed wanting to be a part of that.

Here is one of Mr. Mathias' articles on the 24 Angels of Death production:
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/doug-mastriano-prophets-christian-nationalism-great-reawakening-pennsylvania_n_6364050ae4b05f221e77b47a

In this article, there is a reference that MAGA/Q have been told:

"QAnon’s actual core is that you need mass murder to save America, and that part hasn’t died." This is from Mathias' interview (per article above) with Thomas LeCaque, Associate Professor of History at Grand View University.

This is one of the biggest reasons I believe Trump's Mob is trying to pit Americans against each other, for a artificially-created Civil War. I forwarded Mathias' live event reporting like this for years on Twitter, until Mike Flynn bypassed my block on his account, and started targeting me.

Mr. Mathias has also covered other Reawakening tours in depth. He is at HuffPost and @LetsGoMathias, and is an author on the subject.

Trump and the Republicans have been stoking hate against liberals, Democrats others, and have even talked up Civil War against those groups of people. Their voters aren’t voting for anybody else other than Republican Maga.

The bulk of those people have been brainwashed from years of watching Fox News and it’s hard to unwind all that. That’s why I say no matter if Trump is the candidate or anybody else is candidate for Republicans they’re gonna be all in on their candidate no matter what.

In my extended family (8) , I had

2016-
An older brother
A younger sister
My step dad,
And my Mom
Who all voted Trump.

My family was 4-4 in 2016. 4 Trump and 4 Dems.

My older brother died in 2018. Then my stepdad died.

In 2020 is was 4-2 Biden in my family.

Mom died in 2021. So there was 4-1 in favor of Dems in the midterm .

My younger sister died about a year ago.
So it’s 3-1 now.

So, at least in my family, 3/4 of the Trump voters are now dead.

I’m hoping others will be the same.

I will vote against that bastard with my last breath.

Sun Oct 13, 2024, 12:15 PM

The mechanism of data gathering has not shifted with the current realities. Voter demographics have changed a great deal in the last few elections for a variety of reasons including death of older voters, fewer landlines, and fear of telling a "stranger" anything that might peeve them or the people that hired them.

I also believe that polls are not being reported accurately or are manipulated to create mistrust of the election results. This absolutely sets it up to cry foul when pendejo doesn't win. It's designed to destabilize this country.

Yeah, there is an appalling amount of racism and hate in this country, but I think that percentage has been emboldened over the last couple decades. It's more visible now.

44. 7 Years of Pressure To the Q/MAGA Cult, Via Corrupt Leaders Incl. Some FBI
Sun Oct 13, 2024, 12:54 PM
Sunday

I agree. It is hard to believe; it's not rational.

Neighbors in my community, who for years shared the same values of a safe place to live, concerns about rising costs, that kids get a good education -- these are the same people who started spewing QAnon conspiracies as if they were the truth. Instead of analyzing, or "reprogramming" their thought process when the conspiracy theories were proven wrong, even on FOX news. They dug down even deeper into the conspiracies.

One of my neighbors said she didn't know how she was mentally going to be able to mentally handle it, she was so upset at the "news" the Trump base was telling her. Another neighbor, a long-time business owner (who didn't know I wasn't a MAGA), said that he and his friend would use their Military-grade automatic weapons and gun down everyone in the street if people so much as had a peaceful protest. This was after his (unsolicited) hour unhinged rant about how evil Democrats were. I had merely gone into his business to shop.

At the same time, they have one tangent in their thought process that can still acknowledge, and discuss everyday events and life challenges, such as High School football games, events in the community.

Maybe these people never had that one "Aha" moment to pull them back off the ledge, so they could start the deprogramming process. The only people who allegedly "cared" about them were constantly feeding them Trump/cult lies, on Trump-Cult-approved media outlets. These neighbors stopped watching mainstream media 7 years ago; cult is all they get.

In addition, prominent Cult leads like FBI's Charles McGonigal's long-time boss, James Kallstrom (now deceased), didn't do our country any favors by joining the frenzy to distribute QAnon conspiracies for many years. Kallstrom also continually posted his hatred of Clinton, even during her 2016 campaign. Irony that Peter Strzok/Lisa Page posting negative comments about Trump (ahead of the 2016 election) was one of the reasons Strzok/Page were fired.

I'd imagine many in the Cult felt Kallstrom's & McGonigal's "normalizing" Q conspiracies (over many years) allowed the cult to justify the conspiracies because McGonigal/Kallstrom were high-ranking, and also hated the Clintons. "Counterintelligence?" More like "CounterDemocracy." It has been reported (and not disputed) that Kallstrom & McGonigal worked in the same periods of time with Sidney Powell and Ginni Thomas in targeting/ousting key FBI/DOJ, like the investigators/prosecutors into Trump, Flynn, Stone, etc., Jessie Liu. In fact, it was reported Ginni Thomas widely circulated her "FBI hitlist" of people to oust, which occurred. Kallstrom/McGonigal/Powell/Thomas also infiltrated the rank and file of FBI/DOJ to garner loyalty for the Trump Int'l. Mob.

Yet, the FBI is specifically tasked with taking down both Cults and Int'l. Mobs (per their website). Even though the FBI has taken down other cults, and other Int'l. Mobs repeatedly over the past 7 years, it is my observation that Kallstrom/McGonigal/Powell/Ginni Thomas/Barr were instrumental in weeding out many in FBI/DOJ who had a moral compass to have done their jobs ethically to take down Trump's QAnon Cult and Int'l. Mob.

Per timeline, it appears Kallstrom, a long-time Giuliani & Trump friend from the 1980's was likely part of the Trump's Roy Cohn years. ? A Federal employee tasked with taking down the Mob is part of the Mob, himself? Yet, even this month, there are events held in James Kallstrom's honor; both Kallstrom & McGonigal were hailed as "exemplary, career FBI men." Many former FBI who are guest speakers on MSM said they "had no idea," but I have a hard time believing this because Kallstrom publicly posted Q conspiracies, and his hatred of Clintons, even during the 2016 election, and when Kallstrom/McGonigal were overseeing FBI/DOJ cases on Trump's/Flynn's involvement with Russia, etc.

(My comments re: Kallstrom/McGonigal/FBI who were "bought" does not apply to any FBI who did their job, like those in DOJ/LA FBI who went up against McGonigal).

For all of these reasons, I believe the Cult members wouldn't have sustained their conspiracies/loyalty to Trump/GOP if people like Kallstrom/McGonigal/Powell/Thomas hadn't dismantled the FBI, DOJ & Justice system. I believe the system was tasked with, and capable of heading off the Q/MAGA cult, and Int'l. Mob well before the Q/MAGA cult/Mob was this far gone. Plus, other 1/6/2021 insurrectionists "have been" able to deprogram, so it is possible many others could be, too.
