where local officials were standing next to Rick Scott or Ron De Santis and the usual preparation sessions suddenly turned into a live brown-nosing performance as the local officials sang praise for these two? I heard something to the effect, I know De Santis won't say it, so I'll say it, this is a great leader for Florida, he's out here leadering like no other leader we ever had. (Okay, I'm paraphrasing.)

Anyway, I just now realize what they were working towards. Those brown-nosing press releases are now being aired as campaign commercials for both De Santis and Rick Scott.

They actually turned a hurricane event into a photo opportunity.
