My situation has nothing to do with pregnancy. The possibility of me pregnant is NIL. I was scheduled for a biopsy- had some complications with the biopsy procedure. Doc said, worst case scenario, he would schedule a D&C. Turns out I did not need it and he got what he needed from the biopsy.
Thankfully, I had an MD that talked me through everything today and told me what my options were, worst case scenario and helped calm my fears.. Won't know the results of my biopsy till next week, but the last thing I needed in this situation was to have the government interject themselves in my healthcare.

(12,153 posts)Healthcare and decisions really need to be between the doctor and the patient. I read some stories yesterday about doctors having procedures denied by insurance companies and then patients died.

(25,842 posts)As I'm sure many of us have and many more to come.
Thank you for your courage by example.
Thank you for standing up for yourself and for standing strong for women everywhere.
The most private of decisions, for the most personal part of a woman's body with the most important function in life having implications for the survival of humanity, absolutely has no place in politics.
I wish you all the best.
