Raw Story: 'His brain is completely out of commission': Trump stuns during economics Q&A

Last edited Wed Oct 16, 2024, 10:02 AM - Edit history (1)

In a series of questions about the economy, Micklethwait desperately tried to keep the conversation on track until Trump had to explain to him, "It's called the weave." The term has become Trump's new way of weaving through dozens of different issues in an effort to answer a simple question.

Snip

"The decline is real," said Democratic strategist Adam Parkhomenko, who commented after watching Trump talk about Virginia voting when answering questions about breaking up Google as a monopoly.

Snip

Trump also fumbled when asked what he would do to reduce government spending. His answer was about the new Air Force One. He then rambled about his attempts to negotiate with Boeing over the price of the new Air Force One, which he then said that he wanted to be like the plane the Saudi leaders use.

"His brain is completely out of commission," said lawyer Geoge Conway, who is running Anti-Psychopath PAC to draw attention to such comments.

**************

Btw I have always thought Trump has been out to lunch for years because any man who dresses
like he does, wears lifts in his shoes, wears diapers, has his hair, and make up the way he does
and then looks into the mirror and thinks, “now that is a good look” is bat shit crazy.

Someone researched the use of persuasive nonverbal communication in the category of Costuming and Cosmetics for him.

Generally, the result probably suggested what is called the power combination of black/dark navy, white and red in dressing for maximum influence.

There is lots of research in this area. Remember the Dress for Success Era that emerged for women? That was actually based in Communication Science studies in Nonverbal Communication on persuasion with a focus on women in the workforce.

The influence of colors on emotions is well documented.

But...
There's no accounting for taste and having a shitty tailor and a make up artist who apparently hates you or maybe you just don't want to listen to because she's a woman and you're a bloviating asshole psychopath.

But exactly who is the target of whatever this is:

I guess the cia could use it in a torture program but that aside…

Edit: Also on the topic of Trumpian sartorial elegance, whatever happened to these??!!

His stupid claims and lies.

I know a guy like that. Businessman, investor, claims to be rational and pragmatic. But he keeps claiming that Bidenomics has destroyed the economy, that we're all broke, and we were so much better off in 2020.
He has to ignore his own mutual fund statements to believe this.

Covid-caused inflation reduced to 2.4%, unemployment rate just over 4%, 16 million jobs added under Biden (over 6 million more than before the pandemic).

Trump inherited Obama’s strong economy. He basically did nothing for the economy except to add trillions to the debt with the 2017 tax cut for the wealthy. Then Covid hit. There is no way the 2020 economy was better than now. The pandemic Trump ignored until it was too late was still going on. But reality and Trump supporters have nothing in common.

It’s his behavior when challenged. He can’t expand on his ideas when pressed. He crosses his arms like a toddler, and starts insulting the questioner. He gets angry in situations he can’t control. I can’t think of a worse person to lead. Unreal. Surprised he didn’t strike up the dj for an impromptu jam session.

These "wise guys" ?? Were they all dropped on their heads as babies? Several times?

Here's the inspiration for the story of The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight* who are very similar to the current Republican party, imo.

What a piece of work he was! They all are!

Meanwhile, President Dumpsinhispants wishes he could reach their heights. I think it was his former lawyer Mike who said that he tried to join "the mob" but they rejected him.
So asspirational...

And now he has his very own mobsters that we have to deal with.
Oh, joy.

He called Nepal and Bhutan button and nipple when meeting with the P.M. of India in 2017.

Identifying countries: “He didn’t know what those were,” said one person familiar with a meeting in which Trump reportedly could not identify Nepal and Bhutan, which are in between China and India. “He thought it was all part of India. He was like, ‘What is this stuff in between and these other countries?’”

During the incident wherein Trump seemingly heard about Nepal and Bhutan for the first time, he reportedly pronounced Bhutan as “button” and Nepal as “nipple,” a classic mix-up! During public remarks, the president has also referred to Namibia as “Nambia,” but White House officials were very proud of one of his conquests: “He did a very good job of saying Côte d'Ivoire,” an aide told Politico.
