(23,947 posts)so they are removing him from the public.
They tried to guide him through the Oaks, PA "town hall meeting" by providing the Q & A format to keep him from rambling too far off topic. They had Gov. Noem on hand to lead him through the process, continually calling him "Sir" and reminding him of each pre planned step in the town hall meeting as they went along. She was like a recreational therapist at a home for Alzheimer patients.
And he still went bonkers, on stage, in spite of all their precautions and Noem's obvious attempts to lead him around. They can't afford to take more chances like that so close to election day.
I think that his decline is two pronged. One is the devastating effect on him of having his narcissistic gimmicks exposed and crushed through his legal problems and the Harris/Walz campaign. The other is a genetic inheritance of his father's dementia. He's being hit with a double whammy. Couldn't happen to a more deserving person.
Mentally, Trump is burned out toast.
Beware of Vance, Trump's replacement.

(38 posts)I'm beginning to suspect that the Big Oaf is being limped to the finish line...then, should the worst case come to fruition and as has been the plan for some time now, Vance and Co. will be 25th Amendmenting the Dufus. Voila, mission successful.
Just my opinion of course.

(23,947 posts)watching the Trump decline and observing Vance would agree with you, from pundits and political strategists to ird8nary citizens.
It is no longer an opinion. It is now a dem9bstrated fact that Trump is no longer functioning so Vance is next in line to take over.

(24,358 posts)every Wednesday she has on Marc Elias. Yesterday Elias explained how RNC co-chair has filed over 100 lawsuits this year and his law firm is beating them down.
Best move Kamala made was hiring his law firm. Elias said your vote will count, he has an army of lawyers ready to stop the ratfucking.
Maybe even the milquetoast will help out?
Go in the msnbc archives and watch yesterday's segment with Elias.

(25 posts)He smugly slept through his felony trial. His campaign schedule has become lax and laid back. He frequently cancels events. Earlier this week he swayed, smirked and stumbled for 39 minutes in front of a group of people who deserved every minute of it.
Apparently, in contentious situations, he sometimes shits his pants to dissuade or unnerve his opponents. Not unlike a skunk.
A few weeks ago he was telling his Koolaid zombies that they "didn't really need to vote."
He seems to think that this "election thing" that happens on November 5th is not really that important. He appears to be very confident that "his people", foreign and domestic, have it all in the bag for him.
Thank you for highlighting more of his suspicious behaviors. There's just so much and it never ends. I felt that we were cooked when he came down that escalator and was surrounded by paid "supporters".

(18,317 posts)This country learned a few things from the last election. Our side has lawyers all over this stuff!
Last time, Uncle Sam got caught with his pants down, but this time everyone has been expecting and preparing for these hijinks.
The fact that there's a non election denier (i,e. Democrat) in the White House helps a lot, too. We'll get through this.

(3,250 posts)He stated repititiously that he would bring more business to Georgia than the state would be able to handle. He insultingly lied about our candidate's record in San Francisco. He did the same regarding the current governor of California with respect to that state. When he had exhausted himself of spewing insults, he switched on a video presentation of clips from our candidate. I think that the audio of most of those clips was altered or AI-generated.
I do not believe he is capable of delivering a coherent speech on the order of what is required in addressing a crowd at a special-interest convention.

(23,947 posts)there is nothing left in it for his campaign to keep it looking functional.
The puppet strings that they were using to keep his mindless hulk propped up and looking normal are too frayed to safely operate them any more.
The Adderall and various drug cocktails that they were using to recharge his operating battery have shorted out and no longer work because the battery is too depleted to get a useful spark out of it.
Trump as a (sort of) human being is no longer a threat. But his legacy and the memory of him in the minds of his devoted ones are still a grave problem for the country. Vance, Thiel, and the members of Congress who united around him are the threats now. They will invoke the sanctity of Trump as the semi divine MAGA leader, like Rs did in the past with St. Ronnie of the Trickle Down Cathedral.

I really am beginning to think that if (god forbid) trumps does get in, I would only give him a year before chubby cheeks and holy roller Mike Johnson, move to use the 25th amendment and get rid of him so chubby cheeks can become president.

The Q&A where he was supposed to interact with the crowd but instead decided to do 39 minutes of swaying and bopping to music, leaving the host and everyone eose there wondering what to do and what the hell was he doing?
Then he just left.
That has to be the end of it. His handlers know his mental decline is near complete and he can't be allowed to appear before audience except maybe a FOX hand-picked audience.
