IM surprised members of the crowd aren't lining up to blow him. Yeppers.
Cheering him on, with everything he says.

(4,531 posts)Half of my family are New York Catholics. We were Al Smith's base. We built the church buildings and communities that the people in that audience use to turn around and lick the boots of an unholy agenda.
I think it's legitimate anger.

(1,547 posts)I'm amazed how many cheered when he said to Bill DeBlasio, "You were a terrible mayor--I don't give a shit." File it under, "Just Imagine if a Democrat Said That."
Donald Trump has done so much to make our politics so toxic and awful. And people are so used to his stupidity, that he can say anything that resembles a snotty remark, and his side thinks it's an example of cleverness. I would at least respect some wit.
Someone once said that Donald Trump is a weak person's idea of what a strong person is. I think he's also an idiot's version of what a funny person is.

(13,023 posts)Can you imagine sitting there and listening to tRumps sh*t? I was mostly watching Michael Bloombergs stony face while tRump was talking. Hes my daughters boss. My son in laws boss was there too, but I couldnt see his face. Im sure it was just as stony.

(2,482 posts)Exactly. A bunch of right wing assholes allowing Trump to turn it into an insult event? Disgusting. US Catholicism is failing at every level.

(72,133 posts)My first view of this event - it needs to be abolished. Catholics roasting "cutely" ain't a thing.
GAFFIGAN rubbed my last nerve raw the umpteen times he called Drumpf "president," and fairly much kissed his ass throughout.
Seeing Kamala's not taking bait in antagonistic interviews makes the strong perception that cheap shots are beneath her. Repeating this event needs to be relegated to the bin. Drumpf was given 3 or 4 times more time than the comedian and certainly Kamala's video.
*** Well, the wives appeared to be doing hunky dory - Melaloonia and KENNEDY Jr's. I realize the latter is said to be a decent sort and might be considering divorce (Catholic divorces have been O.K. for the rich) and that she needed to support Jr at his mother's death. Meloonia, however, didn't seem to be acting with her beaming.
I love roasts in the show biz sense, but this one gave me the ick.
