How it works in California

Hubby and I dropped off our ballots at the local post office. We dropped it into the locked drive-through box outside the actual building. We did a few more errands and got home about 40 minutes later. I logged onto the state website and looked up my ballot. It was already marked as received by the post office! I will get an e-mail when it is received by the state election bureau. If it goes like last time, I'll probably get that e-mail tomorrow. Love our system!

Felt great to vote and thanks to everyone on DU for getting out there in their respective states and saving democracy!

The hubby just signed up today. I told him to google track my ballot in CA and that led him to the site. He did it in about 5 minutes.

Mr Retrograde did, and the ballots were sent at the same time

However, you can get the information directly from the tracker website or from the county website . Thes both showed my ballot was received and counted

but nothing from the BoE yet.

I called them today and spoke with a guy who came across as clueless. I'll keep checking their web site.
