As the November General Election inches closer, it almost feels inevitable that there will be more reports of election signs stolen out of yards or from out front of businesses.
One Springfield woman was able to not only get her sign back but confront the person she believes took it and got it all on video.
This has been the fourth the fourth sign thats been stolen from my yard, Laura McCaskill said.

(4,756 posts)McCaskill recorded the confrontation and posted it on social media.
In the video, you can see dozens of signs in the trunk of a car, before the mother of the man grabs them, says Here you go liberals and tosses them in the direction of McCaskill and her partner calling the situation stupid.
No video in article tho

(666 posts)They trespass on your property, then steal the sign that cost $20.00, and say you can buy them on etsy for $3.00. What about shipping, how much more would that be? Like it didn't cost anyone anything! They've replaced their signs 4 times!! Plus the hassle of having to replace them over and over! It's a $2500 fine and up to a year in jail. I think that a judge just might throw the book at someone who stole 60 of them! Then again this Missouri, it's so disheartening! The mom was a peach, wasn't she? Can she be charged as an accessory to the crime? This is why we have to defeat these people! Just sickening!

(2,729 posts)I went to high school in Nixa Missouri (a very long time ago). I had an extremely negative experience with the NPD. I would have never called them. Christian County Sheriff or Greene County, maybe. Nixa is Christian County and Springfield is Greene. Even after all these years the thought of interacting with them, under any circumstances would be very difficult for me. I hope they have changed and they followed up appropriately.
