The worst thing about DeSantis trying to censor a pro-choice ad is that

people like Elon Musk, and the millions who hang onto his every word, will make this a false equivalence.

They will believe that what DeSantis is doing is equivalent to the Biden administration’s alleged “censorship” of people on social media platforms. Therefore, they will dismiss it or minimize it because they believe the Democrats did it first or the Democrats do the same thing.

Despite “findings” by partisan hack Republican judges that government censorship by the Biden administration took place, one thing you won’t find in any communication submitted to these circus courts in Louisiana and the 5th Circuit is an implicit or explicit threat of prosecution.

The thing is Republican AGs and right wing activists know that when the court’s “bombshell” opinion is released and the media reports on it that people won’t read through hundreds of pages of briefs, exhibits and opinions to know that these allegations and “findings” of censorship by the Biden admin was all bullshit from the start.

They have successfully flooded the zone with enough bullshit that when an actual violation of the constitution occurs, they cheer it on because it’s their side and they want to “own the libs” rather than recognize that they’re cheering on a wannabe tyrant that abuses his power to violate the constitution.

DeSantis has more judgements against his administration for first amendment violations than any other governor that I’m aware of. Yet, this is Florida so the Republican Party in Florida won’t be punished by “constitution carrying” right-leaning voters for it, at least not enough voters to make any real difference.
