I am amazed that Rudy threw away his entire life for Trump. You can't tell me that he didn't know he was defaming Lady Ruby and her daughter. Rather, he showed so much disrespect of them that he deserves everything that has happened to him. But, it is amazing that in his older age he threw it all away--he was a rich guy--for the likes of Trump. And Trump is staying far, far away from him. I don't understand such thinking.
He probably has something hidden away, from his divorce years, but he pretty much destroyed what he had worked for in his career. What cabinet position did Trump promise him for this ruthless treatment of two innocent women? Let the dye run down your neck, Rudy.

(157,739 posts)everyone thought he was some kind of hero simply because he did his fucking job on 9/11 - but that wasn't enough, he had to hitch his wagon to Donald Fucking Trump......THAT is his legacy now. Fuck him.

(130 posts)According to a short audiobook I listened to (The Tragedy of Rudy Giuliani), it was having to drop out of the 2008 primaries that accelerated his alcoholic deterioration.
For seven years, Giuliani had seen himself as the next president of the United States. He went into the 2008 Republican primaries as the front runner. But he was forced to withdraw, due to lack of support and enthusiasm, less than four weeks later (after losing Florida).
His drinking increased, and after eight years of constant boozing it made sense to his pickled brain to get tangled up with the criminal Donald Trump.

(17,343 posts)I'm a NYC'r. I remember this stuff.
Yeah, he briefly redeemed himself on 9-11, and the recent aftermath.
Then returned to his usual self. Then got worse over time like supporting drumphf, etc.
Apologies, bc I don't know why he picked on those particular 2 women. I mean, yes, they're Black, but I'm pretty sure they were other Black women in that place.
I absolutely could be wrong, though!

Never ends well.
