NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—Heaping praise on the GOP vice-presidential nominee, on Thursday the former congressman George Santos called JD Vance “a once-in-a-generation lying talent.”

“The Republican Party has produced some epic liars, like Brett Kavanaugh and Sarah Huckabee Sanders,” Santos said. “But when I see JD Vance in action, I’m like, this is the LeBron James of lying.”

“The American people can rest assured that if Donald Trump is elected and becomes incapacitated, JD Vance can more than ably assume the president’s lying duties,” he added.

Santos said knowing that the GOP was “in such good hands” was helping him focus on his current job as captain of the New York Yankees.
