I honestly don't quite know how to feel about that. I understand the reasoning, and I appreciate them coming together for the country, but... I still have my worries they may try to work against some of our changes once we get into office.

I DO hope Harris fills the seats with women... let this be the year we match some of the other countries that have filled out their administrations with women from the highest seat to the lowest seat! Then watch change happen!

Don’t know why but this is the 1st election since 2016 I’m not losing sleep over and not worried at all. Somehow I have near religious level conviction that Harris will win and nothing seems to shake it. I love the feeling vs. extreme anxiety borderline depression of October 2016 and all of 2020. I don’t know what it is, maybe blind belief in the decency of most American people, even in the reddest of states. I mean I used to live in a very red state and most super “conservative” people were first to offer help. I get that conservatism is a misnomer of a word now since trump is not a conservative but far right extremist (very far from slow, traditional conservatives). There is something about anonymity of voting, it’s like religion - between you and “god”.

My anxiety level is higher than it's ever been. In 2016 I couldn't believe this country would elect tRump. I was anxious but nothing like now. I'm avoid the news media and getting all my information from DU.

I know some would say here don't loose sleep over it. Especially in the morning, I keep on thinking about the outcome.

But for some reason this feels like 2008 when President Obama was elected, I think we may see a new change coming for the good. Or as the song says, At Last.

It's as if, every once in a while, the planets align or something and the opportunity to use common sense just falls into people's laps. This is one of those times. Because of the issues at hand, voting Trump off the political landscape is probably the best decision we could make for ourselves. He's been poison for a long time. He's like taking small daily doses of arsenic.

More people than we can imagine are facing the dread of voting for Trump. They know he's awful for countless reasons. And they have to face the horrible consequences of a Trump victory. I think that a lot of people are anticipating another term of Trump with dread and will switch their vote at the last minute.

raised the email issue days before the election, I was stunned but still hopeful. That image is embedded in my mind when it was announced that the pos won. I was shocked and cried when I saw the distraught looks on the faces of her and her many supporters, mostly young people. There are a lot of underhanded events going on, such as burning drop boxes and one woman in Seattle reported on the news that she received 15 mail-in ballots addressed to different names but with her address. Makes me cringe. Notwithstanding, I have a strong feeling that VP Harris/Waltz will be elected President and VP. My dream is for the House and Senate be controlled by Democrats so that the new President/VP can get their major election promises passed within two years. After that, I am hoping that the three appointees by the pos be investigated for perjury. I am hopeful.

it didn’t make it less hurtful but that was my feeling leading up to that election. In 2020, it was so uncertain and unpredictable that I was extra anxious (plus pandemic) and had to tune out the news for my mental health sake. This time around, I am not worried in the slightest, haven’t been following news for the past few weeks except on this site. Like I said, I can’t explain it (I usuallt always worry) other than this is a similar feeling I had leading up to 2012 election - I basically missed the whole cycle cause I was similarly religiously convinced Obama would win reelection no matter what. I think that Kansas election restoring abortion rights was the most inspiring in the last decade. Silver lining - w/o Dobbs decision, we would have little chance to win this election and many others since 2022. As cruel as it is, it was a gift to dems and we’ll use it to get elected and enact federal law - the best outcome possible. Can’t rely on SCOTUS anymore.

There is no time to even think about it - but it will be the most epic election, our nation’s very first female President, commander in chief and leader of the free world. Almost surreal and yet I am not even worried.

full working for the President. After two occasions, I asked him -- 'why me'. He said if you want something urgent done, give it to the busiest and most efficient person. I appreciated his confidence in me but the company never compensated me for working overtime and from home on weekends to get the job done.

We cast 4 ballots for Harris/Walz in last 3 weeks and 3/4 were from women. My daughter goes to Michigan State and she said that every voter in line was female.........NICE!
