That said “he can grab my p****”, when they all wore that ear patch, when they wore shirts that said they rather be Russian, it’s really no different than this.

Maybe he's thinking that the dumb gradeschool cosplay stuff makes it harder to take the GOP seriously, and then we all can't realize how amazingly legitimate and well-justified the party's racist underpinnings are. I went to a Marilyn manson concert in the late 90s. It was in downtown Indy so several hotels got taken over and all the normal people were horrified with all these goth kids walking around.

That's what these people do when try to own the libs. They live in an echo chamber and think they are the majority. Then like eager teens they take it to circus levels which just makes everyday citizens step back and walk around

P.s. when we walked outside after the concert the churches had all gathered and formed a prayer circle around the arena. They had to bring in the riot cops to let us out. Good times!

I think I've only had to walk through (well, past) protestors once, to get into a theater to see The Last Temptation of Christ. Nothing dramatic, however, and no police presence that I recall.

But yeah, these days: circus. That's an apt description of the MAGA cult, both inside and outside their rallies. And the metaphor makes sense given that they have a ringmaster, too. He must get such a huge rush out of playing these little monkeys like a fiddle and seeing them flagellate and prostrate and make asses of themselves all in his name.

(No offense to actual monkeys intended. I was thinking of monkey see, monkey do, and it just sorta fit with the circus theme.)
