He convinced a lot of people that he thought he won in 2020.
But, it is obvious that he knew about the Red Mirage, and yet he used that to pretend he thought they should stop counting and declare him the winner early on election night. He knew as well as me that it was not true. Yet, his seeming sincerity convinces many.
This shows that he is a master of pretending to believe he is winning or has won, when he knows that he is not or has not.
Tim Alberta has fallen for Trumps acts. Tim believes that Trump believed that Cruz had stolen Iowa from him.
Tim believes that Trump always has a distorted view. But the reality is that often times, Trump knows just as well, and maybe better than myself, when he has lost, and he just plays a good acting role.
For example, he knows Ashley Babbitt was not holding others back when she was shot in the face, and yet he told that story as if it could be true.
He knows he is not going to have a plan for health care in 2 weeks. He knows what he did when things were stormy.

(22,055 posts)Between his low energy rallies, and his tacit admission yesterday that he could lose, it seems even Donnie Two Scoops is having trouble maintaining the facade.

(54,574 posts)They are brainwashed and that is the HUGE problem. There is no logic in their tiny brains so don't try to find any. It is a waste of time. These are the same morons who rape, burn, steal, cheat, murder, etc for 6 days a week but since they go to church each Sunday they will go to heaven for behaving without morals or ethics or guilt.
I watched The Manchurian Candidate again last night and the Russian and Chinese leaders brainwashed US troops in Korea. It made me notice how the tRump cult will always vote for him, no matter what he does.

(2,950 posts)But Trump being Trump, I predict if he's not leading, he'll still declare victory and say something like, "Well, they did it again."
It's the Roy Cohn rule: regardless the outcome, claim victory and never concede. Trump is thinking that some way, somehow, he's going to be President, come 2025, by either an outright win or a stymied Congress certification or maybe a successful coup d'état.
He's f'n mad...
