A good portion of men in the US hate women. And many women hate women too.

Hatred of woman. The most acceptable form of bigotry and hate that exists. For it matters not their race, religion or creed. Just the fact they are woman is cause enough for their hatred and subjugation.

They are punishing women for saying "no," if Kamala Harris loses.

This is insanity. I can't believe that this madman would actually get back in the White House. Actually, he won't because if he does pull off a win, he will be promptly dumped in favor of Vance or Mike Johnson.

You have absolutely no way to know that, nor a rational basis for it.

The fact is, Trump won against a Black woman.

You can hypothesize all you want, but you cannot say with certitude that a white man (not named Joe Biden) would categorically have lost.

You do know that all your posts on this thread are visible, right?

As a first matter, this OP, which you are hand-waving, and thus this thread, is not about whether Joe Biden would have done better.

So this response is an utter non sequitur.

As a second matter, you are, in this very thread, claiming that misogyny and racism had nothing to do with the outcome BUT Gavin Newsome would have won for sure.

So you can't predict an alternate universe...except the one where Gavin wins in a walk.

And you don't think it has anything to do with race or gender...but a white guy would have won it.

I'm generally impressed with your work. But on this one, I think you're not doing quite as well as you think you are.

But we cannot elect a woman. We had two very competent and intelligent women running against the most pitiful and incompetent candidate we’ve ever had and they couldn’t beat them. And people are voting for a party that is against doing anything for the non-wealthy. Apparently hate is more important for them. Also fear is behind a lot of it.

but I thought the misogyny was still consigned to the far fringe, the online bro culture, the incels and the male oriented podcasts. But it's way worse than that. A lot of the threats received by politicians and election officials contained so many extraneous sexual threats, and the ones I've seen recently were guys sixty and older who were arrested. It probably cuts across all age groups, but it blew my mind to see people in that age category making these kinds of threats. I'm too shaken to really analyze this now, but it must be faced.

There's something broken on the deepest possible level about a lot of Americans--something that transcends politics and is a product of something in our culture--change that is too rapid, or an unwillingness to evolve. To vote for Trumpism now reflects a kind of selfishness that is almost solipsistic and even nihilistic. I don't know...

the right to vote. These white dudes are mad they aren't getting laid anymore to the extent to which they are entitled, and it is all the fault of women because they can now live independently of them.

It isn't going to change the trajectory any. The economy can't make it without women's participation. Women will just flat-out refuse to marry and have kids before they have anything to do with these men.

I think there will be a national abortion ban and women worldwide will look on in horror the same way they did when it came to women in Ireland a few years ago.

So this morning I messaged him a sad face. And his reply was - time to move on, I'm not going to let it get me down.

And I thought, Of course not- nobody is trampling on your rights. This is a clown show for you, but it doesn't affect you personally. So you don't care all that much.

That's not hate, but its indifference. And there are an awful lot of white men who are totally indifferent to the suffering of women in this country.
