The 'not MY face' crowd is about to get a hard lesson in Find Out...

Deportation, tariffs (and the inflation and economic contraction that follows), the near-collapse of truly Blind justice, all of it is about to come crashing down on their fucking empty heads, and this time, there will be no Covid to deflect blame off their beloved god-emperor...it will be absolutely and OBVIOUSLY his fault.
And then the screaming will start--'but I don't understand how America and it's glorious Capitalism can't arrest that crook, or serve my food, or clean my hotel room, or defend Europe, and what do you MEAN I have to cut my own fucking lawn I'm supposed to have someone I can PAY to do that FOR my rich pasty-white Republican ass and oh my god where did this leopard come from please please PLEASE SOMEONE GET IT OFF OF MY FACE FOR THE LOVE OF WHITE JESUS...'

Suffer, you ignorant pricks, because the rest of us TOLD YOU, again and again and yet AGAIN it was a face-eating leopard that wasn't gonna care who's face it was, and you for some Alex Jones-inspired reason thought 'well, sure, but surely not ever MY FACE...'
Yeah, your face too, asshole. And no, I'm not inclined to help you with that just yet.
Suffer.
Beg more, motherfucker.
Pain is, and has always only been, the only teacher they understand. And maybe after the leopard isn't hungry anymore, you'll figure out why the rest of us voted for national healthcare that covered eaten faces, you dumb fucks.

Our rumor-mill-media is similarly reliability challenged. There are none in the system who would profit from revelations, no matter how factual, which impugn their credibility. Go figure.

I think the best IT minds of at least one enemy state have been on this for several years. They've honed their subterfuge skills over multiple US electoral contests to attack and corrupt our system at every point of weakness, this, in alliance with the leadership of the Republican party. Given that, how in hell can there be a reasonable argument when all contentions are based on media-produced assertions and supported by media-produced evidence, the basis for which defies credibility?

As silly as it sounds, we must resort to our own common sense based on experience over time. We are being told from many points of view and in many scenarios how blocks of (use a demographic term) do not, in fact, vote as a unit. But here we jump and salivate when some entity rep. dangles a pre-packaged, self-serving baited hook that posits, "these people have uniformly accepted a new and enlightened attitude because (insert Republican talking point)". This old song-and-dance is growing tiresome, folks. Almost as tiresome as good people falling for it over and over.

1st - Now that (R)'s are in charge of the Senate, they will abolish the filibuster and ram through as many ridiculous laws that they've always wanted.

2nd - Thomas & Alito will surely retire in the next 4 years and I'm praying that Sotomayor can make it through the next 4 years.
As it stands the 6-3 will all be younger so it will take at least 2 decades to replace them, leaving only Chief Justice Roberts as the old fogie.

We're so screwed & (R)'s don't care.

yes, because this is exactly what they wanted.
(R)'s have worked 50 years to get back at (D)'s for making Nixon resign, and now they consider this their comeuppance.

All the norms that exist in and around D.C. are going to be shattered.

So now we are at a virtual Smoot Hawley 2.0. Version 1.0 set up a world wide depression, seeded Fascism and led to the greatest conflict we ever faced. Try as they might no one will be happy.

While I share your thoughts and warnings exactly the majority of American voters will believe anything he tells them so don't be surprised when everything he does or doesn't do that makes things worse will be blamed on Democrats.

The question is how will Democrats respond?

Dearborn Arabs have apparently decisively voted for Trump. I guess it was a protest vote, punishing Kamala for not being ‘better’ on the issue. I believe they will regret it.

Personally, all that Gaza horror shit has just dropped way down on my list of things to worry and be active about. When the jackbooted thugs come for the Arabs in Dearborn, I’m probably going too busy trying to help the Latinos and Black Americans who are my neighbors to help.

A vote for Trump was a vote for division. You see some of that in this post. You reap what you sow.

He sells laptops and desktop computers. He will not acknowledge that a 200% increase in tariffs of items "manufactured outside of America" will fucking TRIPLE the price of nearly EVERYTHING in the store.

Good luck selling a $9,000 computer, you fucking moron.
Good luck selling a $1,200 monitor that's barely 23 inches, you fucking moron.
Good luck selling anything at triple the fucking price.

There's no reaching these fuckers. None.

I have been saying this for a while. If this is what America wants, so be it. I am tired of fighting for things that benefit the people who reject it. I am old, and tired, and have already been through this once as a woman. And the ignorance in this country is staggering. My millennial daughter is crying today and leaning on her mom friends for support. She was told to get over it, it's just like any other election, one side loses and it will go back the next time. Also that Trump didn't overturn Roe v Wade, the judges did. You can't make this up. Ignorant White affluent moms.

So I will enjoy the suffering. I will enjoy watching them drive their 100k pick up truck with the 1k car payment getting 16 mpg to work at the factory with no overtime pay. I will enjoy the shock prices of Home Goods and Hobby Lobby to decorate their homes for every holiday season, and having to give up trips to the microbrewery for wings and beer. We are in for a world of pain and they have no idea that means them too.

My 87 year old mother was a displaced person during WWII. She lived as a refugee until she was 14 and came to America. She keeps telling me nothing will change until Americans start to suffer. They have it too good. How sad is that?

There’s nothing I need except maybe a new pair of trainers once in a while. I like to eat out sometimes because I’m lazy, but during the pandemic I learned just how cheaply I could get by. If inflation hits, yes, I will notice it. I notice it now. But I won’t have two kids I don’t want and can’t afford to buy clothes for, so I’ll be fine. I can cut back.

So yeah, if child support payments and $500 New Balance shoes are what they want, have at it.

I never could figure out who those Neanderthals think is going to pay for all these unwanted children they are so desperate for their women to have. Dude. It’s you. You won’t be able to work under the table forever.

It will be cleared, one way or another. Those who withheld their votes based on palestine are about to see palestine end bloodier than it started.

And those who decided that machismo was more important than mass deportation? I doubt that your citizenship papers will save you if you are not white.

And those that wanted us out of world affairs? Gonna be a hard time in Europe when they have to go up against Russia without us, which is gonna hurt our trade a lot.

And when china takes over Taiwan.. everything digital is gonna get screwy and expensive fast.

I am somewhat curious what effect Elon will have. Maybe if we call Tesla Trump-mobiles going forward, that alliance will at least help move forward some parts of adjacent environmentally helpful tech.

The autocracy will have the momentum. The new systems to ensure its perpetuation will be in place.

Plus, as the stresses from climate change -- food and water shortages, environmental disasters, increased numbers of climate refugees -- exacerbate, then people more strongly gravitate toward authoritarianism. Reduce resources and desperation creates strongman rule. It has been the case over most of human history.

I knew this future was coming once climate change got bad enough. I failed to anticipate its arrival before the meteorological feces really hit the fan.
