Listen DU , let's start a movement again and stick with it, where we hit them where it hurts, financially. Proposed idea: find out local and national blue companies and EXCLUSIVELY support those.
I know we are the majority, if we do this, they will notice.

(25,463 posts)But it needs to be organized so that millions of people participate in the boycott. Back when the Kochs were the top dog funding the Tea Party I would never buy Brawny paper towels.
My daughter is a staunch Democrat and was considering buying a Tesla until Leon partnered with Putin to elect TSF.
As I said though, this needs to be organized, it needs to involve a lot of people for it to work.

(459 posts)Super organized down to the paper towel and even the fast food, if anyone can afford that stuff.

(90,950 posts)do it in the next two months becsuse the things he says he wants to do might increase the cost of it.
This is more about preparing for what's to come.
Do it during the Biden administration .

(459 posts)Step one stop buying! Half to spending from all of us but we definitely want to keep those blue companies open and successful.

(1,016 posts)My problem is that I am usually not using the product to begin with so can't boycott.

(459 posts)Let dig that sucker up and start using it. I ship at Aldi and occasionally Costco anyone know anything about them?
GoneOffShore
(17,652 posts)They also own Winn-Dixie, Harveys, and Trader Joe's.
Costco are pretty much 'good guys'.

(19,439 posts)Aldi Nord owns Trader Joe's, etc
I wanted to find out about Aldi grocery. Unfortunately, 80% of their political contributions went to rwnj.
I can buy dry and canned goods at Ollie's and Big Lots, but I don't have many options for fresh food. I'll have to check the other companies and see who is the least toxic.
My plan is to avoid buying local, which I have adhered to for many years, because I'm in a red county. I am canceling my amazon prime. I haven't used it and I'm not going to shop on amazon any more. I'm still working through where I'll get what I need.

(17,652 posts)Mostly because of the lower prices.
We have yet to find the stores welcoming or with products that we want.
Carrefour and Auchan are the big 'grand surface' box stores, along with LeClerc. We generally buy at smaller stores.

(37,246 posts)Time for us all to cut expenses to get ready for it, IMO.
I am. Time to make it hurt to get the resulting epiphany.
Perfect, let's make this part of the resistance
They are going to feel it but I want to be sure we don't sink the blue companies. We have to not do the billionaire businesses like Walmart and Amazon.
Let's do it on a large scale, let's get organized and resist like they've never seen.. I'm back and I can fucking resist!! Fuck them and Russia for the assist again.
roamer65
(37,246 posts)Unfortunately there is more collateral damage using it as a weapon.
My goal is to help crash the economy to bring the massive and needed price corrections along with severe economy pain to MAGAts.
I want a Trumpcession rather than Trumpflation.
keepthemhonestO
(459 posts)Yeah that would be perfect. What can we do, anyone remember that app or way we can make this part of the resistance.
I hate we are here again doing this yet again.

(19,439 posts)after you posted. I didn't think it was going to work, but just now, I was looking for opening an international savings account and I got a pop-up describing Charles Schwab and Google. Good to know!
Thanks

(19,439 posts)I remember using them to see who to boycott in 2000
Oh yeah,I remember that one. Thanks we need to compile these all together.

(16,603 posts)if you limit your spending on all those bullshit "presents" it'll definitely put a dent in the corporate box store bottom lines.
If anyone asks why you're not using those credit cards just tell them you're worried about the "economy".
keepthemhonestO
(459 posts)Yep, I think it's ok if we spend now during Bidens term and then fuck em hard after that! Again not the blue companies. 💪

(168 posts)This will be hard for many, but canceling subscriptions to the Washington Post won't mean anything to Bezos, but a drop in Amazon sales might.
I stopped my subscription 1 year ago when besos did some other things. My spending decreased substantially. Find another source, I find their prices are not so great anymore.
Let's hit him hard, I know we are the majority, we need everyone to do this.

Show the orange fool what losing 2 million immigrants would look like in terms of jobs not getting done.
keepthemhonestO
(459 posts)It will certainly be felt when that many people aren't here to do their jobs. I don't think people realize how it will affect the cost of things.
