Stop. Blaming. Democrats.

I feel like I am watching a rape victim obsess over what she did to deserve being raped, pregnant, and full of STDs.

The election is a news story, and there are lots of ways to spin it. All news is a form of propaganda, and once we've heard it, we tend to think of it as truth written in stone. We don't know what's missing from the story.

We do know that Republicans will STOP AT NOTHING to gain power. We do know that Trump hangs with some of the worst actors on the planet, namely MUSK and PUTIN. If Musk was willing to pay huge sums for votes, god only knows what else he would do.

Remember President John Kerry, who mysteriously lost Ohio in the middle of the night?

Remember President Al Gore, who lost Florida because the Supremes said to stop counting the votes?

This election needs to be investigated, and quickly.

Don't assume that there will even be another Presidential election. If America turns full fascist, our "elections" will mean no more than they do in Russia.

I have a media blackout for the time being, and maybe longer.

I was so angry of their double standard in this election where they held Kamala to a much higher standard than her opponent, which she actually exceeded, but they still were critical.

I am so furious and disappointed at the blatant sexism and misogynist attitudes that are so prevalent in our country.

They’re not going to fight it or investigate it or anything. We lost.

Because Democrats didn’t come out to vote.

But overall, how we got to this point, is because of their STOP AT NOTHING attitude about gaining and wielding power. They did what it took to win the game.

We played by the so-called “rules” and it got us nowhere.

Trump will have about the same vote totals as he did in 2020. We had to know that he isn't able to expand his base so we had to know the target to win this election. Trump will get 74 million votes when its all said and done and thats what he got in 2020. Truly disappointed in the fact that democrats stayed at home. Still trying to wrap my head around a democrat that voted for biden in 2020 and decided not to vote at all in 2024. I hope we can get to the bottom of this and figure it out before 2028.

As I wrote in another thread, it's not 5M+ "Democrats" that didn't show up, it's 5M+ "Biden Voters". The President built a large coalition and motivated independents to come out and vote for him. They weren't party loyalists that stayed home, they were swing voters.

All the polling for months in swing states had us up 2-3 points. All the polling showed nationally we were up 3-4 percent. We lost those swing states and popular vote it seems

We had dem enthusiasm out the roof. Past elections had dems over performing.

I cant believe it is 5 million biden only voters that failed to show

Now suddenly with trump on ticket we underperform?

Something doesn’t add up.

I hope the dems are looking at this or facism is already here.

In NH we voted for Harris but we lost the whole state government.

We are now a red state, with FreeStaters who worked to install another republican governor - we'll not only see Project 2025 but Project 2025 on steroids. She will defund women's health, sell our public education, give more tax cuts for the corporations, allow out-of-state trash companies to pollute our waters, and more.

All they had to do was tick every box in one column - that's all we asked.
And we voted Blue at the top and left the rest to go Red.
I blame the Dems.

Bible, he is a citizen who has no power. The honorific "President-elect" conveys with it no powers in and of itself.

The peaceful transfer of power -- which he refused to take part in after losing the 2000 election -- has some administrative traditions designed to ensure the new president can hit the ground running. The only one he will focus on will be his security briefings, the contents of which he'll auction off to one of America's sworn enemies -- Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un, Elon Musk .

Other than that, his attention will be on how to grift off his win.

That's the only way we get better, with a reckoning for what went wrong.

Winning has to be our sole focus going forward. The best candidate for the job isn't the one who can do the job the best, but the one who can win, that has to be the mentality going forward. And that's not to say Harris wasn't our best chance to win, given the circumstances, I think she was, but I don't think that is always our focus.

11. Democrats got caught up in a global anti-incumbency phenomenon
Thu Nov 7, 2024, 09:07 AM
Nov 7

They did nothing wrong other than being the party in power in a year that has seen incumbent after incumbent voted out worldwide.

https://www.vox.com/2024-elections/383208/donald-trump-victory-kamala-harris-global-trend-incumbents

President-elect Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 election was powered by a remarkably consistent nationwide trend of voters turning against the Democratic ticket. Vice President Kamala Harris performed worse than President Joe Biden did in 2020 nearly everywhere: in big cities and rural areas, in blue states and red ones.

Most of the conventional explanations for why a campaign fails — things like messaging choices, or whether candidates campaigned enough in the right places — cannot account for such a sweeping shift. Such factors matter on the margins and among specific demographic groups, but Harris received a decisive, across-the-board rebuke.

To explain what truly happened, we need to look at global trends as a point of comparison. And when we do, a clear picture emerges: What happened on Tuesday is part of a worldwide wave of anti-incumbent sentiment.

extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. We’re not the Republicans who shouted “stolen election!” with zero evidence. And I suspect no evidence will be forthcoming. The internal polls apparent;y showed Harris in deep trouble up to a few weeks ago when the MSG rally hit and some of the late deciders were breaking for Harris. But it wasn’t enough. We also know that Hispanic and college-aged men broke big time for Trump and that hurt us tremendously.

I just don't think there will be an investigation.

Dems are too nice.

After the first Nazi experiment with Trump, not
enough apparatus was put in place to game the
vote against Biden.

But they learned their lesson. Over the next four
years they set up the win for 2024. Republican
officials in red states set up purges, reduced
polling sites for blue areas, made voting by mail
way more difficult, and filed lawsuits and made
direct threats regarding voter registration.

Certain swing states with red legislatures alsoo
made voting more difficult.

And then came the Russians calling in bomb
threats and getting sites shut down.

Then came the billionaires with huge money
efforts, particularly in adviertising and social
media propaganda and misinformation.

And they found a way to divide certain populations,
who should be allies, against each other.

Attacking Haitians as migrants and not Latinos
made Latinos think they were safe, and they carry
a certain amount of bigotry against Black people
anyway. I know this from experience.

I probably didn't cover it all, but you get the gist.

I was working the election in rural Texas and we had so many first time voters that came in and voted, while I don’t know for sure how they were voting they would often ask is this where I come to vote for Republicans. Every elderly white voter in the county were dragged into to vote by family members who would need election workers assistance so I was forced to see their selections. I was saddened and shocked how motivated they were to come in and vote for a rapist.

Everyone is sorted into homogenious groups. Our campaign finance system means people who live in very segregated communities ate running campaigns. The GOP blatantly lies and are willing to use crime and dirty tricks. On our side belief is data analysis and micro targeting hurt us in 16 and 24. No one running these campaigns know what life is like in the projects or rural trailer parks. Reagan's and other GOP tax adjustments have hollowed out America ontop of the 60 years hollowing most precints ever since LBJ & Nixon raided the Social Security Trust fund to pay for the Vietnam war. That intensified wvee since Reagan.
