The biggest deportation event in human history will be...

climate change. It's mid-November and it was 66% degrees here in NYC today. There are fire warnings because we haven't gotten much rain. It's forever summer, and I miss the cold.

It had been really dry with temps in the 70s-80s all of September. No rain and 80s-90s July through August. It’s still too warm. 40s-50s. North, we would have had snow by now.

The insurance companies are already reacting.

Both through higher rates and risk reduction (ie let someone else insure that, I'm out)

Elevating homes has been around for years and is becoming popular in coastal Florida.

There is discussion about allowing roofing companies to offer rafter tie retrofit as a service. Currently that is the domain of residential carpentry contractors.
