I never thought I'd be asking such a question. I don't want to scare anyone. But, after hearing the names of Trump's cabinet picks and his plans for ridding the military of generals not beholden to him, I find myself thinking about what "acting without guardrails" might actually entail. The vast majority of Trump's base lives at or below the poverty line. They hail from impoverished small towns and rural communities in red states. Trump has referred to them as "forgotten" men and women. To these folks, blue states must seem like emerald palaces, brimming with riches. Ironic, since one of their constant mantras is to bash states like California and New York and claim they'd "never want to live there." The man is embarking the nation on an unprecedented transfer of people from one country to another. Is it within the realm of possibility that he might attempt an equally unprecedented transfer of wealth from one group of states to another - both to appease his base and out of sheer hatred and vengeance? Again, I'm sorry to be asking this question.

grifts them for money, doesn't give it to them.

(1,425 posts)he will give his cave dwelling cultist the privilege of 'liberating' the assets/personal property of any migrants that he deports. This could prove to be rather lucrative if it's done on any scale.

(1,425 posts)He attempted to do so during his first administration and, now that he has unfettered power, he has the ability to utilize whatever means necessary to force them into submission. If there is any resistance, I would anticipate him orchestrating a "false flag" event as a predicate to solidify public support against the offending groups/parties.
