I can see an anti-abortion AG Matt Gaetz being willing to enforce the Comstock Act to prohibit mailing of abortion pills

I can see AG Matt Gaetz refusing to let DOJ defend FDA's approval of mifepristone... because 3 Republican state attorneys general are in federal court right now still trying to revoke the FDA's approval of mifepristone.

I can see AG Matt Gaetz refusing to enforce EMTALA on states with abortion bans that let women bleed out in the waiting room instead of giving them emergency abortions.

They thought Trump saying he would veto a national ban would be the end of the federal government's role in abortion. They believed him when they were voting for their abortion ballot measures, and they didn't connect the dots or didn't know about the dots when they voted to approve abortion rights in their state while voting for Trump.

Now knowing that he intends to nominate a staunchly anti-abortion Matt Gaetz as opposed to an establishment DOJ veteran, I think the possibility of the federal government further limiting abortion becomes more likely with Matt Gaetz.
