Report on my meeting with my RW book producer....it was surprisingly GOOD!

He was nice, eager to work with me, did not mention politics and DID NOT in any way gloat over Trump's win. I had calmed down from my initial freak out, so I could concentrate on the business at hand.

The old adage "Life is short, art is long" really means something, I have learned. Perspective is everything.

The right of women to control their own bodies and the overall issue of women's rights will simply be re-fought. We now know the bitter truth which is we will always have to be on guard against vile attacks on our very personhood. I've done it before, I'll do it again.

In the meantime, I'll have published "The Gladdened Heart: the ART of Music."

3. Hubby is from Wisconsin but we grew too old to visit his family vacation home in Door County, which Chicagoans know well

He sold the Door County property he inherited. It had appreciated markedly and we have a wonderful nest egg from the sale. Going to the midwest became too difficult to do for us. With flight connections and then renting a car and driving to Door County from the nearest airport in Green Bay was a huge effort and wore us out. We now travel on sea voyages, mostly in the Mediterranean.

Ancestors settled there in the 1850s, cousins still own some of that original land. We visited there every summer when I was a kid while my grandmother still lived there. I love it there.

We all have lives to live doing regular stuff…most of the people I do business with in my red town…probably voted for tcf, still have to get my groceries, get my car fixed, hardware store, and on and on. Can’t let politics poison everything.

7. He pu it together for me with all the specs I needed for self publishing with Book Baby

i.e. layout, both my text and IMPORTANTLY, the ART itself. Especially the pixel specs for printing. I had taken the art I was writing about off the Internet. However, each reproduction had to be checked for sufficient pixil counts for each image. If it didn't have at least 300 pixel count it wouldn't reproduce well (i.e. blurry). Since it is an ART book, the art had to be reproduced accurately, right?

Not sure if your publisher reads your drafts, but writing about the Art of Politics would resonate with him.

8. what a great idea! Stories of "forbidden" or censored art are legion! It would be a great book!

I will talk it over with my son in law who works on Democrats campaigns with a company based in Boston. He could be my collaborator!
