And most of the people getting these benefits will believe it and vote Republican.

In our lifetimes, America won't change to what we want it to be, to what it could be. The only hope is generational change, massive demographic shifts, new political alliances, but these things won't happen in 2 or 4 years. These things won't happen for a generation or two.

You cannot change a generational mindset.

Texas Rep yesterday saying if Trump says jump, we will all jump? How many are totally in line with that, or may only exposers concern like Romney and Collins, but just allow it to happen?

You, just like me, every time I am at the VA, am sickened by how many trump stickers are on vehicles of patients, or how many inside are fully garbed out in China trump attire.

Not the VA. But I'm sure.

Not just campaign on it, actually introduce legislation then, when it's rejected, suggest Trump supporters contact their representatives

Propaganda machine is done pointing their fingers.

Quietly, and with regretful faces, they gradually find other uses for the money, and then it turns out that there’s no more money for whatever it is you valued and wanted — like Social Security.

Why start a war when you can just — run out of money?
