We need a term to describe the conman's picks so far

I suggest UWP, pronounced oop.

Unqualified White Person.

For all the stink they make about DEI, his picks prove why DEI is necessary. Without it, people in power, like the dictator wannabe, think any white person will do, no matter how unqualified or ridiculous.

We can sit around congratulating ourselves for our clever wordsmithing, or we can move past such masturbatory pastimes and get to work.

Show me the study that proves "kakistocracy" is gaining meaningful traction outside of insular Left-leaning political discussions wherein the participants delightedly pat themselves on the back for their pithy commentary. Let me see that evidence, and I'll reconsider.

But in the meantime consider this: congratulating ourselves for faux-clever word choice will do absolutely nothing to hurt Trump or help Democrats. It will simply play to our not entirely unearned reputation for out-of-touch elitism, and it will be completely eclipsed by some single-syllable soundbyte from Trump or one of his drooling surrogates.

FFS it isn't even a catchy word, which would at least give it some level of dull marketability. Off the top of my head, I'd guess that not one in 500,000 US citizens can define the word, and prior to the last few days I'd bet that about as few have ever even seen or heard it. I suspect that 80% of DUers never heard it before a few weeks ago, despite their assurances to the contrary.

Regardless of its etymology or history of use, it sounds like something that Democrats made up in a laughably futile effort to seem edgy. The electorate does not hunger for academia-speak. Going in that direction is doubling down on a repeatedly failed strategy.

from what is going to come down, no matter who is leading departments?

Let's talk about what they are going to do instead of who is going to do it.

Worm brain or some other pro-Trump Magat will be in charge of Medicare and Medicaid, and in charge in keeping us safe and healthy.

Elon Musk will be the person who approve or disapproves Trump's selections. Did I mention that Musk speaks with Putin regularly?
