Doctors are nervous about RFK. No Surprise.

Went to a program on eye health for the aging. It was being sponsored by the not for profit Senior Care Community my sister retired from last year. She was in management.

One of the doctors there came up to say hi to her and one of the facility's residents. He said to the resident we have to get your appointment scheduled. She replied just make sure it's before January 20. He groaned and said, a lot of us our worried about what's going to happen with that nut RFK in charge of HHS. Then he added these will be tough times, but this is a great country and we will get through it. Glad he thinks so, because as a Historian, I don't think so, but unfortunately only time will tell whose right. Also I wanted to say why didn't more doctors speak out before the election about how destructive tsf's administration will be to health care?, but I didn't want to start a scene and embarrass my sister.

The ophthalmologist surgeon who gave, the talk, and also the one treating my left eye condition, said in the presentation a few interesting things. That Europe has done a far better job of preventing the acceleration of deteriorating eye sight from macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy than the U.S., and that there aren't going to be enough ophthalmologists in the US as the majority of the population ages.

But hey damn that inferior socialist system.

Get all the vaccines, tests and surgeries, treatments and preventative care you need before psycho takes over. We don't know what will happen. And doctors have already shown they for the most part do as they are told, evidenced in letting women die who needed abortions.

I have a good retina doc, I hope that continues and I can still get the care I need. Currently being followed for an issue in one eye which is resolving and has not needed treatment.

got my vaccines last month. I had abnormal blood vessel growth under my left retina at the start of this year. The Doc said it's because of my severe myopia. I have received several injections over the past months. My sight is much better. I have another injection Monday morning.

He told me the last visit those blood vessels have been reduced significantly, and if I am lucky this might be the last injection I need. He said they would like to continue checking periodically to make sure the condition doesn't reoccur. I hope also we both can continue to get needed care.

Yes I hope so. I dread getting injections. I need to get second opinion on all of it. I am going back soon again. The retinologist says it is getting better so I hope it is just from anticoagulants.

I have been sick with various issues and have not been able yet to get any vaccines yet this year. I plan to do it soon. I have to space them out due to having a reaction to them all.
