Raw Story: WSJ editorial warns Elon Musk's 'blow-it-all-up' ideas will devastate U.S. economy

The board argued, "Our concern isn't personalities so much as Mr. Musk's apparent belief in economic-policy disruption for its own sake. Treasury isn't the Education Department, or Defense, and financial markets don't want to trade one form of policy uncertainty for another. Steady and knowledgeable economic policy hands are needed if Mr. Trump wants to succeed."

https://www.rawstory.com/wsj-editorial-warns-elon-musks-blow-it-all-up-ideas-will-devastate-u-s-economy/

In short, the WSJ's editorial board is saying feel free to fuck up the entire federal govt, but do not fuck with our money.

that those who thought Trump was joking are about to find out. Trump was restrained to some degree the first time around, only deploying his crazy on select targets. This time the crazy is going to be unleashed across the board - and it's going to have far ranging and unintended effects - including on many of those who thought they would be exempt.

For some reason it's been a particular object of hatred for the RW loons. Expect attempts by know-nothings to gut the USDA except perhaps for the parts that facilitate agricultural exports (because other countries aren't as stupid as the US and don't want our pests and diseases).

I used to know several USDA employees with great jobs (relatively high salaries, excellent benefits) that were enthusiastic red don supporters. I still remember how relieved they were that the country dodged a bullet when Hillary didn't become president. Wonder how they feel now. Bunch of ignorant dumbasses, they were.

I think
All the horrors you can imagine for immigrant farm workers and nobody to care if they die while trying to work.

Basically the notion is to turn the farm into a Pullman’s village during harvest and planting season so the workers owe all of their wages to the company store and some don’t survive the experience.

This has been tried previously. It always fails spectacularly. Pinochet destroyed things. Who knows when, or if?, Argentina ever recovers. If you like inflation, you will love Argentina’s which usually exceeds 100% (as high as 200%).

Right now in Russia, some folks fave, potatoes are up 78%.

These same folks, under a different normie president, laid waist to Iraq’s economy and insisted! that Ethiopia end free public education in the interest of the “economy” and ending the country’s “debt.”

Ethiopia used to be one of the most stable, literate countries in freaking human history.
Now, Ethiopia hovers around perpetual civil war, its economy in ruins and many of its people sunk in illiteracy.

Who does this benefit?
Arms manufacturers and the men who always need more!!! like the seagulls in Finding Nemo. The more men are never satisfied. It is a hole of need they are trying to fill with power. That never works.

I don't think the WSJ understands what it is that Donald Trump wants to succeed at.
Also, Musk contributed over 100 million dollars to Trump's campaign. He's going to reward Musk, even if it hurts a whole lot of people; something Musk has already says will happen.
So, Musk obviously plans to sell high before the shit hits the fan, and then buy at bargain prices after the crash.
The rich can get richer in times of economic turmoil if they know what's coming. And, Musk knows what his plans and actions will do to the economy.

I think people have to realize that Musk and Trump want to blow it all up, not because they don't think the system works for regular people, but because they think it works too well for regular people. Republicans think working people have it too easy, they think people are lazy and need to work harder for less.

Their whole goal for blowing it all up is to make it easier for the rich to benefit the most from a new system and to ensure the rich have the benefit of preying on working people without government inteference.

That's what this is all about, the rich got sick of draining the working class little by little and decided to take it all at once.

About Trump doing evil things with terrible Cabinet members.

It’s simply this - Trump is a Jinx. He ran casinos into bankruptcy which is hard to do. He blew through the 400+ million his daddy left him and the stuff he stole from his brother.

Everything he touches dies - is so spot on, but who would have thought that he could destroy a nation?
