Berlin police chief warns Jews and LGBTQ+ to exercise caution in certain areas

There are areas where I would advise people who wear a kippah or are openly homosexual or lesbians to be more attentive,' says Barbara Slowik.

Berlin Police Chief Barbara Slowik has issued a warning to Jews and LGBTQ+ individuals to exercise caution in certain areas of the German capital amid rising antisemitism and hate crimes. Speaking to the press, Slowik emphasized the need for vigilance in the wake of recent events, particularly following the attack by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023.

"There are no so-called no-go areas, meaning areas that are too dangerous to enter," Slowik stated, as reported by Die Zeit. "However, there are areas, and we must be honest at this stage, where I would advise people who wear a kippah or are openly homosexual or lesbians to be more attentive," she added, emphasizing the importance of caution in public spaces.

Highlighting the tensions in certain neighborhoods, Slowik explained, "Unfortunately, there are certain neighborhoods where predominantly Arab-descended people live, who also have sympathies for terrorist groups," and where "open anti-Semitism is articulated there against people of Jewish faith and origin," according to Der Standard - Archäologie. She stressed that her intention was not to stigmatize any community, stating, "I do not want to 'defame' any particular group of people as perpetrators," as reported by Süddeutsche Zeitung.

There are plenty of places in Europe and England you would not want to walk if you are Jewish or gay.... Our local school had to cancel trips to places like Belgium because of the abuse the black students received.

Being Jewish and having lived there in various different countries in the past, but I’m aware that it has gotten worse over the years due to various circumstances however, since 10 seven it is much much worse obviously. We saw people who are visibly Jewish attacked on the streets in this country and people who support terrorism taking over universities and demonstrating daily in the cities, etc.

My father was beaten up on a subway years ago in Denmark by a bunch of Nazi skinhead types, many years ago.

refuse to allow those that can't accept differences. Deport those that are a threat.

Don't just tell other communities to be careful. Protect them by going after the thugs.

had to set up classes to explain to their new immigrants that women are allowed to dress as they please and no you can’t rape them or beat them.

I totally misread that and, you're right, it makes it no better if the citizens who live there are in danger.

This is just unbelievable that that terrible war is spilling over to other countries and causing this conflict. Similar things happening in the US, too. I'm worried that it will escalate and people who can do nothing about what's happening will be seriously harmed.

What’s that got to do with it?

The problem is more the insanely hateful culture a large swathe of new immigrants and refugees have brought with them into more than just one European country.

in these anti Israel and anti Jewish protests but if a lot of the protesters are Muslim, perhaps the woman who gave the warning is thinking it could be a logical next development and feels it prudent to be careful. I don't know.

LGBTQ were warned to not be open in certain areas. The same areas no one can be too Jewish in as well.

Of course that’s already visiting North America. One fine Michigan town banned pride. Hint: it’s not a Christian mayor who did it.

If you can’t assimilate and act civilized, you need to be removed. You don’t cowtow to terrorists and their sympathizers.

It’s a small wonder why certain sects are worried about losing their countries and culture when shit like this goes on.

telling people they should assimilate (at least on issues like: we don’t hate women, Jews, and lgbtq) is considered xenophobic.

Warning her citizens of the stupidity about to happen here would not be beyond the pale.
The German equivalent of the State Dept should be putting out those notices now for anyone wanting to come here after Jan 20th.
