I'm glad Dr. Oz will be in charge of Medicare and Medicaid.

Yes, he dabbles in dangerous pseudomedicine, but he's a high-profile name and everyone will know he is the man responsible if any of their benefits are cut. They will know, it's not Biden. It's not Kamala. It's Dr Oz, as appointed by Trump.

150 million Americans are on either Medicare or Medicaid, a big chunk Trumpers. Now Trump and the Republicans will own it. It's their brand. They are the ones saying it is broken and must be fixed. They have put a household name at the top, and they will pay the price in 2026 and 2028 for any changes that impact any part of that 150 million Americans.

Medicare and Medicaid, with cuts. I think Trump putting a well-known figure at the top will help Democrats reverse that.

Oz' competence seems highly questionable to me. If diaper don had been brave enough he could have appointed some very capable crime-free tough guy who could do a lot more harm than Oz. Of course his ego couldn't take any lessening of his personal spotlight.

12. Trump voters might blame Dr. Oz, but they will never blame Trump, for anything, ever.

It is a cult. Their support of Trump is entirely based on faith, making it essentially religious in nature. Religious beliefs aren't rational, by definition. You have to stop expecting anything they do to make sense.
