As an aside, please allow me to discuss "falling out of windows"

I’m not going to name names, but years ago in Philly, I treated one of the guys who used to throw people out of windows and off roofs of buildings.

He, believe it or not, talked about his exploits and I knew that it was true from other policemen whom I knew well.

In this case, if some accused criminal seriously threatened someone influential’s family, or a police officer or (assistant)district attorney, this guy would be called with his associate to take care of business. He was 6’4” or so, solid muscle and raised in the streets of South Philly but he wasn’t Italian. We had a terrific relationship although I really was scared to death of him, he could have a truly menacing look in his eyes, like if somebody came in and interrupted his speaking.

I was not a little relieved when I saw his obituary. He was a pure sociopath.

He made sure folks knew.

He used it as a way to get whatever he wanted

gawd I would imagine! I'd be especially careful to make sure the novocaine had really numbed the tooth before I drilled.
