Michael Cohen, the Prosecution's Star Witness, Calls for Trump Criminal-Case Dismissal

Even Cohen—a veteran Trump antagonist, if no longer a central one—is now arguing for the hush-money case to be dismissed. On Tuesday, the Manhattan district attorney’s office proposed delaying Trump’s sentencing past his term ending in 2029. Cohen, the president-elect’s former fixer who arranged for the payment to Daniels and who was the prosecution’s star witness, wrote in an email to Vanity Fair that he would go a step further.

It would be “judicious and cautious,” Cohen wrote, for Justice Juan Merchan, the judge in the case, to accept the recommendation.

Nonetheless, Cohen said, “The American people have spoken and re-elected Donald Trump

For sure he was going to be on the top of Trump's hit list.

There is a lot of bending the knee since Nov 5.

A lot of people are deciding it is better to suck up to Trump than pick up sticks and leave the US.

He should move to Canada. Trump is going to be vicious against these people.

That’s not how it works… or at least how the t should work. A jury found him guilty.

...postpone the sentencing, or set it to begin Jan. 21, 2029 or sooner if Orange Julius Caesar leaves office

that absolutely nothing prevents a person from from running for or serving as president as a convicted felon or from prison. it stands to reason that there is no legal justification for tossing a conviction just because someone was elected president. i also don't see any way to interpret drumpf's crimes as "official acts". Since SCOTUS left that up to the judge's to decide, then if it were me, i would make SCOTUS do its own "dirty work". if they want to toss it, make them toss it.

delay the sentencing until after his term and make him think about that every day for the next four years.

So if someone is elected to office because the stupid ass people "have spoken" he should be absolved of his crimes? What the hell is going on? Do we live in a country of laws? Shame on Michael Cohen. At every turn, people are so disappointing.

that the Gaetz report shouldn’t be released because people just want to read it because it’s salacious.

Cohen is petrified and apparently has turned to cowardice. How disappointing.

I thought he was going to move out of the country. At least that’s what he said he would do if Trump won the election.
