Does a political party have the obligation to vet a prospective candidate for the most powerful office in the world before offering him/her as a candidate for that office? No one seems to be holding the Republican Party accountable for this. I know the Constitution has only three requirements to run for president, but come on. Surely the founders expected some common sense for selecting someone for this office.
