CA-45: Derek Tran's Lead Keeps Growing Over Rep. Michelle Steel in OC's Dead Heat Congressional Race
Democratic challenger Derek Tran expanded his lead once again Wednesday against Republican Rep. Michelle Steel to represent Orange County’s Little Saigon in one of the country’s tightest Congressional races.
The 45th Congressional District race has been in a dead heat for at least a week and was one of the only four U.S. House races in the country not yet called by the Associated Press as of Wednesday evening.
As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, Tran was 397 votes ahead of Steel after taking a narrow lead in the race over the weekend, according to results posted by California’s Secretary of State.
The 45th Congressional District stretches from Los Angeles County including Cerritos, Artesia, Hawaiian Gardens and Lakewood and into Orange County including Brea, Fullerton, Yorba Linda and encompasses Little Saigon in Garden Grove and Westminster.

Perhaps they decided he is more Vietnamese because of his name? 
I had friends in Garden Grove in the past who would always support the Vietnamese candidate even though my friend was a Democrat and the cabdidate was republican. In this case, tie goes to the runner, I guess!
Little Saigon was part of the District. .
I did a little research and Michelle Steele is Korean and a trumper of course and Derek is Vietnamese.
I just hope he brings it home..
