'The View' Hosts Encourage Biden to Pardon His Son, Since Trump Will Be 'Handing Out Pardons Like Cheeseburgers'

As President Joe Biden’s time in office winds down, the hosts of “The View” think he should definitely pardon his son Hunter before his term ends. Especially because, as Joy Behar joked on Wednesday, Donald Trump will be very liberally tossing out pardons to his own allies and supporters.

To kick off the ABC talk show’s Thanksgiving episode, the hosts first discussed Biden’s pardoning of two turkeys — Peach and Blossom — ahead of the holiday, a longstanding presidential tradition.

“But there’s a much more serious pardon that many people are wondering about, and that is people are wondering, should Biden pardon his son, Hunter?” Whoopi Goldberg segued. “Or does that make him an even bigger target for You-Know-Who coming in?”

For the most part, the hosts agreed that Hunter Biden should receive a pardon, but for various reasons. For Behar, it was simply a matter of taking advantage of an ability that Trump has already promised to exploit.

He's not running for any other office in the future. To hell with what they have to say. He can give himself and his family peace of mind. He's given his all to this country all his life. He can take care of himself and his family for the rest of his life and most democrats would not give a damn.

Hunter has shown remorse, is in recovery and doesn’t deserve any more stress or threats to his sobriety. No brainer ... fuck the feelings of anyone who dares criticize.

lying about drug abuse on a form to buy a gun. No one goes to jail for this alone. Probably one fifth of Texas would be in jail.
Also, on the tax charge, he paid all of his taxes plus penalties and interest. This is also not something for which people are jailed.

Maybe he and his father had a PERSONAL heart-to-heart about it, and Hunter talked him out of a pardon. It's all blind speculation, sure, but hey, despite his setbacks, he seems to have some integrity; he sure as hell gave it to 'em at his hearings.
