Im home, exhausted, but home.

Lactate acidosis, is final diagnoses.
Was a tense 40 hours at VA. More than a couple, " discussions" I haven't slept a wink.
Basically, I had gastric bypass many years, ago. I know, if I take, a new script, if something, doesn't feel , right. Something g isn't right.
ER nurse, kept count of how many times, I reminded, her, that I had that.
I finally told her, " get out of your script cook book! " she replied, " you lactic acid is , over, 5! "
Then Dr. Comes in, we butted heads, for a few minutes.
I agreed to be admitted, so I was admitted,
Blood draw at 4 am this, morn, my lactate acid, was 0.3.
Head nurse came in, redrew, and was 0.2.
I told, her"
" I know my body, I know the drugs, you ask me , to take, I know, these drugs, that make me, feel this way."
Anyway, I'm home, I'll need my Healthcare, from VA,
They had me on pills, that absorbed lactic acid,
It took me , fighting for me,
The Doc who , released, me, said,
You, were right"
And all of a sudden, I'm home

Good that you are able to advocate for yourself. So many cannot and get railroaded by the medical profession.

You may think you know what is best for you. You could be right.

However, you also may have been released because they didn't want to deal further with you. That happens all the time. You tell them what you want and they say, "well, OK, then" and send you on your way.

Be careful.

they attributed to heat stroke, other similar issues. It turned out to be afib. This is after decades and decades of going w/o treatment until they finally, finally monitored me. So all of these years, I was treated for the wrong thing.

So stand up for yourself, demand what you feel like your body needs, after all, you know your body better than anyone else. Don't be that victim.

I got this from an article online and I take two Tylenol everyday, pain from prostate cancer that has spread to my spine.

Acetaminophen use
Regular, frequent use of acetaminophen (Tylenol) can cause lactic acidosis, even when it’s taken at the correct dosage. This is because it can cause an accumulation of pyroglutamic acid, an amino acid byproduct, in the blood.

Also the gastric bypass problem after surgery with lactate acidosis.

I have been in that situation many times where I have to explain what is going on to doctors etc. which isn’t easy to do when you are in an emergency.
