the cookie that people beg me to make.

Whipped shortbread thumbprints (with toasted nuts sometimes) filled with caramel and drizzled with good quality dark chocolate.

I make a great sugar cookie too.

ETA: DH just stopped by and said that he loves all cookies equally. Except fig newtons.

It's called Calypso Crunch, and I read up on it, finding that the oatmeal is ground very fine, which gives it the texture I prefer to the regular oatmeal. Not fond of raisins in anything though.
I like Heath cookies, also from Publix, just a little bit better than homemade Chocolate Chip.

... Hydrox stayed the same. Now we know animal fats are good for you and seed and vegetable oil are worse if they've been hydrogenated, make them more polysaturated than animal fats. Rendered animal fats melt at room temp and vegetable shortening doesn't.

Someone has bought the Hydrox name and is making them, but I haven't seen one or it's labeling.

BIG EDIT: I just realized that the above is how I a drain bramaged individual, may have mixed up fact with who knows what, it is pretty close in a lot of ways of what really happened. I will gladly mea culpa every goof gracefully.

And, Italian butter cookies. I like pretty much any of them that are homemade or from a good bakery (actual ones, not the grocery store kind.)
