other alternative sources of media/information are reaching far more people, especially young males, than any of the traditional media outlets. Additionally the long form interview format of podcasts like Rogan's seems to be much more effective that the sound bite format of traditional news.

I think Jon Stewart was totally wrong about the Democrats not trying to get more involved in the social media. Jon thinks we can use Joe and the existing media, but clearly Joe has a bias. Joe mixes Fauci and Tyson with complete crack pots giving weight to the insane. You can't use a show like that get your message out. You need a show with a real media filter.

It is far better to promote those channels already friendly to their cause with their own channels and, God forbid, getting their own out there with an actual media filter.

He's an oaf, but he's a comedian who can be funny and has a lot of interesting stories to tell. he reaches tens of millions of people. He might be more influential than any other pubic figure in the country. Walz or Harris should have went on his show.
