That dudes got a great smile. And also if people celebrate your death. You are not a good human. People celebrate Bin Ladens death and Hitlers death and Mussolinis death. If you are a good and decent human, people wont jump for joy when you die. Its that simple.

(5,017 posts)Had any of us heard the name before yesterday? Any CEO of a private health insurance company would have the same impact, though UHC does seem to have the worst reputation. He was a symbol of something people really hate.
Some people are dancing on the grave of a symbol; some people who actually knew him are mourning the loss of an individual. I expect that there are people who actually did know him who have mixed feelings about his occupation.
Think. Again.
(19,093 posts)...he was actually a living person who decided to, and carried out the doing of, the 'something' that people really hate.

(3,097 posts)Implying, or outright saying, that anyone condemning this assassination is pro big insurance and/or agrees with UHCs abysmal policies is disgraceful.
Thompson isnt being mourned here.
Whats being mourned is the disregard for rule of law in a time when our institutions are under rightwing siege.
The point is that for people like Thompson and Trump and Musk there is no rule of law, only the rules of nature.

Thompson killed tens of thousands but did it "legally," so I guess it's ok.

(15,584 posts)Especially this part:
I have nothing but disgust for UHC from everything I am reading and no problems with highlighting the disgust and frustration with US healthcare. And I have no tut tutting either for the many frustrated humans commenting about it. Most people venting are angry and rightly so. And I have no problem at all with some of the dark humor it has resulted in.
But..all that said, the rule of law is essential for democracy. Vigilante justice is the type of solution people like Musk would both celebrate when the targets are those he wants attacked and also use as an excuse to impose martial law.

(9,711 posts)...had anything to do with Anthem reversing their decision on anesthesia?

(1,631 posts)Thompson got gunned down and they reversed their new policy. You realize the problem with that, right?
