With Thompson murdered, whether it has anything to do with this suit or not, I'll bet they're all sweating.

Why are you afraid for me? I don't think there's any reason to be afraid. Things are already chaotic and something like this is not good, not just because murder is wrong but because it's absurd to allow corporations to get away with this and invite people to try and do something about it by killing CEOs.

being as fearful as Democrats, progressives and liberals.

The Democratic presidential nominee did threaten the MAGAts with lower middle class tax rates, increased access to healthcare and education, subsidies for small business creation and help for first-time home buyers.

Conversely, the Retrumplican nominee threatened to arrest and jail his opponents, execute those he views as traitors, and withhold emergency funding for insufficiently loyal states should natural disaster befall their citizens.

Don't know why Democrats and sane Americans should be required to have a monopoly on fear.

I'm less bothered by oligarchs developing a genuince fear of the unwashed masses they harvest their millions from.

And of course, the threat of gun violence rests firmly on the shoulders of the right wing. Isn't this the kind of thing they wanted? Justice at the end of a gun barrel. Be careful what you wish for.

family member or friend of a shareholder who got screwed.

"Deny/Defend/Depose..." So the depose part sticks out for me. Being deposed in a lawsuit is a very intimidating thing--especially if you're fighting against a billion dollar corporation. Even a mediocre attorney can rip you to shreds and paint an inaccurate narrative.

but I'm not convinced that was what the murder was about. We'll find out, soon enough, because that kid's handsome mug is all over the place now and they must know who he is.

He caught a greyhound from Florida to Atlanta. Then Atlanta to NY. But he's already very familiar with NY, hence the amazing get away.

Usually they are hacktivists, annoying protesters, anarchists who are also more annoying... etc...Some may escalate to robbery thinking, "stuff should be free". In the last several decades, that's the most I've seen.

and have mental issues. I don't know if my theory is correct about him being part of a group, though. CEOs, OTOH, I think a lot of them are psychopaths. I'm talking high functioning, smart, ruthless and with no empathy or conscience. I'm sure there are anarchists who have the same kind of psychological make up.

I'm a member of a crime forum but those crimes are the more personal and brutal crimes (Chris Watts and the like) and I have to step away because it's all so dark. This crime, though, I find very intriguing. Yes, the murder is dark (all murder is) but it's very unusual and this kid arriving so many days ahead of the killing, the coming by bus, the gun coming from CT, the balloon - all of it seems like he has friends on the same page.

we hear, I'm almost convinced this was a hit. The way the guy is so calm. The way he handles the gun and the silencer. The fake NJ ID. Taking a bus to his intended location is more secluded than being in an airport. In an airport he would have to deal with the TSA and all the cameras. The burner phone. The methodical way he just "casually" rode away and disappeared ( except for the street cameras). Using the mask all the time. That is, except for the moment he pulled it down to flirt. The exact timing of knowing when Thompson would be entering the hotel...

But, the motive is what's the most curious to me.

He may generally hate insurance companies but I think it's about more than that. While he certainly made mistakes (besides killing someone) there was a lot of planning and he knew Thompson's schedule. He was so confident that he stopped at Starbucks, just before the hit, without much of a window of time. Crazy.

Two ‘man’ team. Or, the spotter was the one who ordered the hit.

Fri Dec 6, 2024, 04:44 PM

on some site I wondered into, looking at the videos, the author thought the bystander, on the street, was in on it. That person ran away when the guy was shot. The author's theory was that the bystander was kind of a lookout. He also thought the two cars parked at the curb, running, might have been used to block anyone else from pulling up and to block the shooting itself from being seen. Who knows? It's possible.

I base that on his age and the behavior that you noted.

If he is already anti-capitalist, he probably heard how bad UHC is. He researched UHC and becomes further enraged. He's seething and can't shake it. He envisions all these people dying. He feels the only way to save society is to eliminate UHC etc.

We often become more enraged and fearful about what we read, rather than what we personally experience. BTW, I've been on UHC for five years and no probs. However, what I'm reading about them scares the bejeezes out of me.

Right now, everyone wants to "do something" about Trump. However, what can we do? If we start to think our minds go in a dark place!
