Having lived in his district for a bit, it’s clear he’s opportunistic and certainly represents Silicon Valley’s interests well.

Not saying it justifies it (in fact he's one Dem I don't think that much of), but tech bros are his constituency.

I hear Dem plan is to say, yes, we are for cutting wasteful spending. Then, when DOGE starts cutting programs that hurts middle class, and Trump gives a tax cut, mostly for the wealthy, Dems plan to say, "Wait, you said you are cutting wasteful spending, but now you are cutting necessary spending, and giving unnecessary tax cuts for the wealthy."

Will this strategy work? Assumption is- It is easier to talk to uneducated voters on these lines. Reason being, nothing Trump does will change anything for these voters. These voters merely fall for easy to absorb talking points.

Ro Khanna is starting that strategy.

cut wasteful spending. Subsidizing corporate subsidies on healthcare is one. Let''s stop paying for people's premiums to private insurance companies and open up Medicare to all. Let's stop subsidizing big oil. Let's cut military budget. Ro Khanna is not a supporter of Musk or cutting SS or Medicare or any other program that Musk supports cutting.
