Assad is fleeing to his family in Moscow

Russia is about to give up its only naval base outside of Russia, plus its air base as the rebels move in to Tartus and Latakia. Protests are continuing in Georgia, Romania is re-voting due to Russian interference, Putin's economy is shit, 800,000 Russian troops are dead. What else could go wrong? Oh, yeah, that $billion weapons package to Ukraine! Just a little tying up of loose ends before Biden leaves office.

On edit: Russia will also lose its foothold in Africa. All because it's devoted all its resources to Ukraine

Pity

And with the Russia/Iran empire collapsing, what becomes of subordinates Comrade Caligula and his cadre?

Flight to Moscow?

I mean, if you eliminate all "entitlement" programs, they should both be affordable.

Haven't been there more than a handful of times since.

Enough of that will --- ouch. And diet cokes?
I stopped using aspartame and sucralose out of caution.

Those other space cases? Lobster and cracked crab. Junior? A cocktail of psychedelics, peptides, stem cells, raw milk, chelating compounds, ivermectin, and hydroxychloroquine. Oh, and protoid capsules.

It seems strange to read something that says that they used lard but then added "beef flavoring" to their french fries.

They used tallow, not lard. Beef fat, not pig fat.

And there are still a lot of people that preferred the flavor of McDonald's fries before they ditched the tallow.

(Damn. That reminds me. The weather's turned cool here, so it's time to get to purify all the tallow that's accumulated since last February so I can make soap. Argh.)

I’m almost 70 and have never seen more chaos everywhere. One country after the other, including ours in about a month with our new Presi-dense. I think they’re just going to have to lock Trump away and come up with a stand-in like the movie “Dave.” I have a hard time believing that the Reps in Congress and the more sane members of the Supreme Court and the justice system are going to allow that stupid, crazy demented man be in charge of all the messes and complicated situations going on. We also know what might happen when the CIA gets pissed off. Add top law enforcement, the military and the Secret Service to that.

These are jihadists who have run this Blitzkreig in Syria. This is a group who split from al Qaeda and this is not good for anyone who isn't a fundy Sunni. There are Shia, Christians, Alawites and other sects in Syria and and they aren't safe.

If Assad's plane is down they must have shot it down unless it had mechanical problems.

It's pointing out that these are jihadists. So, they promise to be nice. Let's hope they are but they have no record of being so, up to now.

About different things. I have seen zero evidence that these are religious extremists. Not a single public statement I've seen is the rhetoric of religious extremism.
Been wrong before but unless you have very current information on this particular group I would give them a chance before calling them bloodthirsty religious extremists

Just saying what I know. This group is an offshoot of al Qaeda. In the areas under the control of the now former government (such as it was), women have been free and people of different faiths have been free to live as they wish. I sincerely hope that continues. We shall see.

There's a fucking lesson to be learned there.

If only we had done this in 2016. Even Facebook admitted to participating in said interference. That was the time.
