(45,589 posts)No analysis, no pushback.
If one wants to post a Murdoch outlet article and debunk it and show how it is designed to stir the pot, by all means post that analysis.
If one posts an article from Murdoch as if it is true and that fox etc are reliable, thats a problem.
On Edit: Eugene explains it better than me.

(62,748 posts)Otherwise the rule is don't peddle right wing talking points, smears or sources.
WSJ news reporting should be used with caution. WSJ opinion is bull***t.
NY Post is is factually untrustworty.
Fox News... you can't be serious.
Think. Again.
(18,778 posts)...it isn't like these sources publish the nazi's highly secret plans or anything.
These sources are only attempting to push the nazi agenda, that's all, we certainly DON'T need to expose ourselves to THAT.

(17,232 posts)respectfully disagree, in particular about the WSJ. In spite of their op-eds, they often do very rigorous journalism. They break stories. Although Michael Bender no longer writes for the WSJ, when he did he authored one of the first and best post-2020 election books on Trump, "Frankly We Did Win This Election." Obviously, not everything in the WSJ is worth posting, but I'm just saying there are times when IMO it is justified. My dad was a true blue Dem his entire life and he subscribed to that paper until the last month of his life. And he, too, ridiculed the opinion section.
It also seems apparent that some of the SCOTUS justices use the WSJ to leak various things.
It's hard to justify any postings from the NY Post or Fox, but there could be a time when something, offered with the proper context, might be worthwhile to post here. Come to think of it, the New York Post is a sewer of a special kind. It really does suck sh*t--excuse my French.
Anyway, just my two cents. Whatever the administrators and people at DU decide I'm fine with!
Besides, nobody writes better stories about MSNBC's ratings struggle than Fox News.
