Ain't no f'n way

Trump's retribution and deportation rhetorical bullsh*t have been previous DU topics so apologies for kicking dead horses...

I don't doubt some number of immigrants will be deported to somewhere...but 20 million? That's a number equal to the population of Florida. "They" talk about deporting massive numbers of people but don't give the details on where they will be deported to. What country will say "Yeah, we'll take a few million?"

Add to that, locating the 'illegals' will require massive numbers of locators, then the 'located' people will have to be detained in some facility and taken care of while 'they' find a place to send them.

The necessary logistics for a successful deportation process are mind boggling.

Stephen Miller:

That would mean a historic increase in border agents, a pay raise for both full funding for military operations, full funding for ice beds, full funding for air marine operations, full funding for all of the barriers and technology that you need to ensure there’s never another got away entering this country.

Parts of that were in the proposed bill that Trump nixed. But the rest of it won't take place.

So far as 'retribution' for the Jan 6 committee...

https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-adam-kinzinger-jail-threat-response-1997485

Adam Kinzinger has told President-elect Donald Trump to "bring it on" after the incoming president said that members of the January 6 investigation committee should face jail time.

The former Illinois congressman, who was one of two Republicans alongside Liz Cheney to serve on the committee, challenged Trump to give him jail time, writing that the president-elect was "rewriting history" and "playing the victim."

You can't put people in jail for doing their jobs...

1. Impossible. I'm hopeful with reasonable restrictions at border, things will cool off. But who knows.

This is supposed to be managed by a confederacy of dunces who would be hard-pressed to put together a yard sale.

6. Plus always consider the axiom: "Everything Trump touches turns to shit".

While he can certainly gum up the works for a spell, and cause a shit ton of short and long term damage, his grandiose plans will, like all before them, turn to shit because they have to if Trump touches them.

I’ll bet that would tick off the Reich wing if they were smart enough to know that.

Blame others for the soon to be failure of implementation of evil plan. Too many liberals throwing wrenches into our beautiful plan.

How ya gonna feed those ya round up? How ya gonna dispose of the bodies without publicity and knowledge of the public.

How ya gonna continue to lie? Thought I’d throw a stupid question into the mix.

7. Probably a source of bribes for Trump. Those who pay for protection will get it

until they don't. The farmers and construction industry are already asking for protection. So, like last time some industries will get hammered, others won't. Blue states will be raided, red states won't, etc.

8. Deporting is not the goal IMO. It's about detention facilities run by private companies

That’s where the money is.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they “show mercy” by allowing detainees the option to do manual labor during their time in the camps. A la prison labor.

11. Let's look at the logistics of deporting millions of people.

It would take 10,000 bus trips to deport one million, assuming each bus carries 100 people. The reality is, most busses carry fewer than 50 people. So many, many, many thousands of bus trips would happen.

On the up side, a lot of driver jobs would now be available.
