And we have zero legal recourse against them, at least anything meaningful.

Not a justification, only an understanding.

Even a moderately wealthy person can't fight an insurance company. IMO that's the government's job

About 2nd Amend or anything else. Anyone thinking that congressmen (or leaders of industry) are going home tonight and "rethinking their positions" - has been on the hard stuff for far, far too long.
