on health care insurance denials? Because it's probably going to get a lot worse when they kick everyone with pre-existing conditions out of coverage again.

The dumb brainwashed people will get what they voted for and suffer.

(13,621 posts)He was only a Multi-Millionaire CEO. He can be replaced.
My FIL got to the position at Travellers Group back in the 90's where he could step up into a C-suite position.
He just couldn't agree to the idea that the bottom line for the Shareholders was more important than an efficient product and investing in it to make it better for the Customers. Also, he would have to put his family on the back-burner; company came first - which was tough with his beloved 3rd wife (even Laz's mom, his first wife, loved #3 as a friend) dying of Brain Cancer at the time.
So, no multi-millions for him. He ended up not regretting it in the least. He said most of the men at that level spent more time making deals and strategizing amongst themselves and let the VPs and Managers deal with customers or the product. They pretty much divorced themselves from the actual running of the business, and were all pretty much replaceable with any other person at that level.

(17,346 posts)spank bank material. So, they are paying attention because the love the outrage and the idea of people losing everything if they get sick.
Also, if they take the ACA away, the insurance companies won't have the 80/20 rule anymore:
https://www.healthcare.gov/health-care-law-protections/rate-review/#:~:text=The%2080%2F20%20Rule%20generally,%2C%20overhead%2C%20and%20marketing%20costs.
The 80/20 Rule generally requires insurance companies to spend at least 80% of the money they take in from premiums on health care costs and quality improvement activities. The other 20% can go to administrative, overhead, and marketing costs.
So, they can even reverse it, 80% Overhead (including executive compensation) 20% or less patient care. Collect the premiums, pay practically nothing in claims.
Also, if they take the ACA down, no more annual checkups or cancer screenings without digging in your own pocket for the cash.
And then, another pandemic will come along and people won't be able to afford to go to the doctor...
Sounds awesome. Just fucking great.

Republicans piss in the face of their voters on nearly every issue every day, and they keep winning elections.
Republican voters don't think for themselves. They believe what they are told and they will do what they are told.
