Maybe we could start a separate forum for people to complain about MSNBC/CNN TV News hosts all day long?

Since some people insist on watching them (yes, they make bad choices) and complaining about them every damned day.
Let's clear some of this fluff out of GD.
Give them their own forum to whine about the latest interview or comment from the idiot talking heads.
It's a good idea whose time has come.

Give them the playground of their own.
Then when they have more productive things to say they can post in GD.

Auto-trash by keyword
When you auto-trash by keyword, discussions which contain that keyword in their title will be removed from your view when browsing the site. To add a keyword, enter it into the box below. You may enter a single word (eg. chicken) or a string of words (eg. corn flakes). Capitalization is not important.

Those OP' s go away. DU is every members 's playground. Some people like to click on those.

by circumstances. That Kristen Welker interview was shown on all the networks/shows - unavoidable if your TV was on at all. And yes it was FUCKING annoying.

And I suspect enough of us are taking more "breaks" from political coverage to make this an insignificant issue right now. But, going after those who kiss the ring (talking you, Mika/Joe) is absolutely necessary if we are to salvage ANY credibility in the media and not fall to Fascist propaganda.

It's the Howard Stern effect from the 80s/90s
Ratings showed that people that liked Stern Listened to him for an avg of 15 minutes a time
People who hated him listened for 23 minutes.

Thats when the networks on TV and radio learned to love "hate watching"
Tracking it on social media is easier than ever.

They see Laura Ingraham trending because people are flaming her online and Fox loves it.
MSNBC loves it when we flame Tur, Welker, Andrea Mitchell etc
That only means we were watching.

Eyeballs are the only thing they care about.

I work in Hollywood and everything I just said in gospel here.

So, YEAH, they ARE noticing. Even if the occasional host is reamed here. It is the lack of eyeballs as you say that is going to impact them. Whether annoyance, anger, or sheer burnout, it is happening. For good or ill.

And, of course it’s double-plus-good when those eyeballs mean people watching - and potentially spending money their way(s).
