Alleged genius Musk may not be all that sharp, afterall

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott applauded Elon Musk's commitment to stopping government waste after the tech billionaire — who heads the "Department of Government Efficiency" task force to try to cut $2 trillion from the budget — vowed to block the federal government from funding the construction of a new football stadium for the Washington Commanders in the omnibus spending deal.

The flap began when Mario Nawfal, a right-wing social media influencer, posted on Musk's X platform that "Buried in the 1,547-page omnibus bill is a provision to facilitate a $3 billion stadium in Washington, D.C."

Musk quickly replied, "This should not be funded by your tax dollars!"

Abbott cheered Musk on, chiming in, "Good catch, Elon. You are doing a great job."

But according to Washington Post reporter Aaron Blake, none of this is true.

"Indeed, Page 233 of the continuing resolution contains a passage titled, "PROHIBITING USE OF FEDERAL FUNDS FOR STADIUM...."

When the building's Twitter sign was being removed by workmen to make way for the X sign, Musk announced that they were using blow torches.

What kind of rocket builder does not know the difference between a blow torch and an acetylene torch?

We learned the difference early in the first semester. It was covered in the classes on case-hardening tools.

according to his credulous and awestruck biographer Walter Isaacson.

Also, there is speculation on Reddit he suffers from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, something I've privately wondered about myself.

who wonders if both musk and Trump suffer from FAS. It kinda makes sense, considering when they were born, alcohol wasn't yet considered dangerous to the mother or fetus. And weren't there rumors that trumps mom was an alcoholic?

I’m too busy enjoying life here on the Mexican coast to look it up but something tells me Ol’Greg Abbott took him some tax dollars to build a stadium or two in Texas.

lightning strike of luck, they find other, smarter people to bring those ideas to fruition. A look at his Wikepedia entry indicates his many failures. The sole authenticity about him is his danger to our economy -- and the lower/middles classes that are going to suffer.

We’re thought to be a take over of the State of Texas by the Obama Administration. Abbott appointed a National Guard General to “keep an eye on it.”

A continuing resolution put forward by Republicans leading the House Appropriations Committee does attempt to allow an automatic congressional pay increase — which has drawn blowback from some members of Congress — but the maximum possible raise in 2025 would be 3.8%, not 40% ...
