The angle of the scull (and background trees), along with the circular ripples in the water, make a great composition. The time of day is nice, too

often in Feb, April I'd see the sculling boats at least 3 at a time along the river. I think they're so pretty. I have watched the sculling competition in The Summer Olympics.

Way later I often visit the area right by the very top of Manhattan Island where Columbia U's stadium, and their boating wharf is... the sculling boats are housed up there. 👍
