Most American's have no idea what an oligarch is. But I think most have a notion of what a puppeteer is. I think most have a notion of what a puppet master is. I think the words puppeteer and puppet master carry a whiff of evil.

I don't think the image of people using their money to "pull strings" -- to manipulate the public, our elected officials, our executive agencies -- is an attractive one. These aren't powerful rich people you want to identify with. These are billionaire puppeteers; puppet masters with their own "behind the scenes" agendas.
