Republicans on social media are literally celebrating that they got basically the same CR that was in the omnibus

They were celebrating the passing of a CR that they were just trashing 72 hours ago.

They literally think the entire 1,500 page omnibus was all spending, and somehow less pages translates to less spending

They think Dems gave up something significant to "compromise" as if Republicans didn't also negotiate and agree with the omnibus bill.

They are re-imagining history right before my eyes. Their minds must be filled with rainbows and unicorns. It must be cozy in there.

Musk went one further on Twitter as he pivoted from "WE WON!!1!", "Nothing should pass until Trump's in office" and "We'll be fine with a shutdown until next year" to:

The Speaker did a good job here, given the circumstances.

It went from a bill that weighed pounds to a bill that weighed ounces.

...

The wingnuts in the replies weren't entirely convinced.

I suggest that from now on, bills should be printed on tissue paper, so they don't tip the scales too heavily for the weaklings in the MAGA wing.

... metastasized into a domestic terror organization. They have NO intention of ever doing anything to benefit the simple-minded skid marks that elected them; they'll only line their pockets, cut taxes for billionaires that barely pay any to begin with, then get back to the thing they love most: Victimizing those less fortunate, and demonizing women for their failure to kneel in submission and grovel for crumbs.
This has to stop. The hand-wringers and pearl-clutchers can hide under the bed, and let those who care more about the continued existence of democracy, than if they appear "partisan", do whatever has to be done to stop these treasonous liars, thieves and murderers from destroying America to please Putin. And his dénouement is imminent, and will likely be at the hands of his own people.
No more Mr. nice guy. Same goes for Mrs., Ms, Them, They, or Those. Focus on getting the TRUTH out there. Every time we back down, these fuckers grow stronger, so this Neville Chamberlain appeasement bullshit has to end now. By legal means if possible. If not, just gut the GOP from groin to gizzard, and leave the carcass for the coyotes. Figuratively speaking, of course.
These people are evil incarnate, and they're not going to stop unless we stop them.

And they have all adopted another tactic from the Book of Trumpism: "No matter the outcome, always declare victory when there's no clear winner."
