I've been a proponent for at least two decades about raising the cost of the H1-B visas to employers.

Back then, in the tech sector, I worked with a few such people at Nortel Networks. They were all very nice and smart, but did not have skills Americans didn't have.

Trump pays attention what the base thinks and tries to make sure that they're hearing the right message from Trump World.

Musk is rich enough to not care what the base thinks. He speaks his mind, sometimes forgetting or disregarding how it conflicts with the official message or puts the team's hypocrisy on display.

He has enough analytics on his site to know the way things are shifting and at the end of the day, it's all about retaining power and influence.

So they still want to bring foreign tech workers AND they want to raise their minimum wage, which is already higher than the actual minimum wage? Yeah, that’s gonna go over like a ton of bricks.
